Well, i want to help, but i'm quite useless, i do have a old TF2 VPK with me idk the age cause it does not contain a executable for me to start up... Also i've tried loading the models, didn't work, after failing i tried to decompile the models with StudioCompiler but i get a error on the DMX extraction :/ + it has a "unused content" bat file...

Notes: "Miniturret.mdl" i decompiled it and it is a low poly turret most likely from TF classic
There are some "turret_heavy" models i wonder what are they...

They changed the article title and removed the "Fed up" bit, but they haven't issued a formal statement about it.
Still, we should send that distress signal to valve time, hopefully they can give a more positive image.

I'm very sure one has existed for many years now considering people have made a nailgun skin and people have made tons of killicon replacements
honestly i'd say hunt down the pre-existing one if it already does exist
i'd honestly be surprised if it didn't

Ok, I've never bought into this whole "ethics in game journalism" thing, but this is just the sort of thing that ticks me off.
I am currently training to be a historian. I am working on a masters degree and writing a thesis. I have been thought that for any argument or statement of any kind you make, you must back it up with at least three primary sources. The areas I usually specialize in are topics like diplomacy and war. The people I take comments from have been dead longer than I have been alive. I have to go looking for any papers or accounts they may have left in order to find these comments, digging through mountains of unrelated information as I go.
Maybe I'm just a little angry, and it is late, but it boggles me to think that even when writing an article about something as comparatively trivial as a video game mode, the author couldn't be bothered to obtain a comment from people who are currently alive.

Fun fact, the skins we use ingame for the Nailgun, Tranquilizer Gun and Lead Pipe are all official and made by Valve. That's a point of pride for me.

There's only ever been one model. People just made their own textures for it until we discovered the official ones. It looks like someone took a side-shot of the nailgun and shrunk it down in Photoshop awkwardly, causing weird skinniness. Either that or it was designed from scratch.

Soon! It's part of our "scrapped content revival" thing. No ETA on when it'll be added as we're incredibly focused on Deathmatch. Also did you hafta censor the bit where I said "hell"? Actually there were different nailguns in the original classic, but yeah you're right that is it.

Animation bugs seem to affect almost everything except for players even NPCs. This really needs to be addressed.
EDIT: Actually, never mind, NPCs aren't affected. Sentry's animations are broken because of the model.
Well I just got a lot of shit done in hammer and as soon as I try to save it crashes...

Have you guys come up with what GRN and YLW stand for? To parallel the building and destruction analogues with Builders League United and Reliable Excavation Demolition, may I suggest Global Resource Network and Yielding Logistics Worldwide?

You were pretty close with GRN as our name is "Global Radio Network", YLW stands for "Yald Logistics Workers" or something like that
I've been stalking this thread since it's birth and came to think. Is there any way to contribute to this project? I'm decent at animating, if that is anything that is needed in the future.
I see you guys have plenty of mappers and modelers but do you still need any?
I would happily recreate some classic maps for this mod!
