I also did manage to do this: http://imgur.com/a/6aKdo#0 Thunderclap coloured... Dunno about for this game tho. idk whatever others wish to do. :P
Anyone think the Mercenary class kinda looks a lot like an MSF soldier in team colored uniform from MGS Peace Walker? (someone make a skin, do it)
If I'm not late from the TF2-styled HL2 reskins, I found this one Gmod addon that has few of the HL2 cast in the style of TF2. TF2-Styled Half-Life 2 Characters [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/882968411962611965/138744315129A333D2E72AD4AFCF7D51661E2A88/[/t] [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/594789945396678784/868D4E80A5B4175A9B7A1DC8CD1CDBC33FBD2DD8/[/t] [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/882968411962614623/5D25F234BB87474BEFFDAEBA9D3ADEBFA578A400/[/t] Father Grigori looks a bit like Heavy though.
Also I believe that my melee stuff is good in my opinion. Most of it anyway. A couple of the snipers might fit if tweaked and coloured. The Fire-Breather smg would look nice if paired with duller colours. Some of the shotguns will work out fine. -------------- But yes I do understand the style requested for this mod. I will try to excel at matching this style. But... Is this more realistic? Cos misc items may or may not fit. idk... :/ [editline]10th April 2015[/editline] I'll leave you with this: Do we intend to add items? What types? What styles? and what limitations? [editline]10th April 2015[/editline] I mean, I see one problem: People are also coming here for something that valve didn't do. But without a bigger diversity of weapons and such i fear that people may veer away quick. Plus, adding the environment and characters to more realistic items just seems, immersion-breaking, you know. like putting the player off in a subconscious sort of way... gnight
*sighs* That took a while! Imgur album of my weapon scans: http://imgur.com/a/SKFyX#0 Cruddy because on my scanner. Very useless... :P
I'll mention again Sam, weapons aren't our priority right now. If all you're here to do is suggest weapons designs, you'll be sitting on them for a while. Our current orders of business are actually getting the game into a working condition.

So Valvenewsnetwork messaged me on Steam:
I have to apologise, I took down the video and will not be making another on the topic. I am really sorry about the commando and classes and stuff. Please belive that I use this to learn how to make better videos, and that due to the personal conficts happening at the time of filming the video, I should have just left it alone. I am sorry.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/E0jBWI4.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/LBgoOSw.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/HwSBIz1.png[/t] This is a map I have been working on. It is a small 4-team ctf map, for 2-3 player teams. Any higher than that, it gets a little crowded. If you want to download this map for your server, message me.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/E0jBWI4.png[/t]
Looks rather dark for a daytime/evening map.
Looks rather dark for a daytime/evening map.
It is supposed to be more dawn-ish, as if the day just begin. If it's too troubling, I can always add more lights.
So Valvenewsnetwork messaged me on Steam:
He should still make a video on it, but later in the lifetime of TF2C when it's not all broken.
So Valvenewsnetwork messaged me on Steam:
it's not that he should not be doing one at all, but should he make one it at least needs to have accurate info Just my 2c
It is supposed to be more dawn-ish, as if the day just begin. If it's too troubling, I can always add more lights.
Maps in TF2 are generally well lit. Even doublecross, which takes place at midnight, has clear and bright visibility throughout the map.
It is supposed to be more dawn-ish, as if the day just begin. If it's too troubling, I can always add more lights.
Did you base your skybox lighting off of the ones used here? https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Team_Fortress_2_Sky_List You'll get lighting that matches the skybox better if you do.
It is supposed to be more dawn-ish, as if the day just begin. If it's too troubling, I can always add more lights.
Add a light_environment to your map, it'll help add more light to the outdoor areas of the map.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/v1BFx4A.png[/T] Fixed the lighting, and other misc stuff.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/v1BFx4A.png[/T] Fixed the lighting, and other misc stuff.
that FoV hurts my soul.

http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1446242 A lot of major contributors to actual TF2 post there, and some of your concepts are very good. Just don't quite fit TF2C is all.
Is there a current list of maps being worked on and any classic map that still needs to be made for this mod? Would help me in deciding what map to go ahead and work on.
Do I need to speak to someone about contributing, or can I just head at it? I'd like to start mapping something out soon with what free time I currently have.
if you would like to contribute assets or your asset making skills send me a privat message for now. a better way is coming soon
Hey people, loving this so far but I've just come across an issue - I can't access the weapon menu any more without crashing. Had it working fine an hour or two ago when testing things out in a private server. Just tried re-installing everything, hasn't worked. Any fixes available? EDIT: Fixed it, minor screwup on my end.
Working on this little piece of promotional/conceptual poster for Espionage
i'm not keeping up to date with what any of this is but this gives me a L4D vibe. i like it
