Aw poo, I was hoping noone here would find out, now my mega post to come with the patch is about 50% less exciting. :suicide:

Edit2: Might as well make some cool statement here. I had noticed that there's not much as far as regular maps go in TF2C, and I knew that I had links with quite a few mappers and also the means to find others that I don't so much (not to mention the fact that just about any mapper worth their carve button would love their map to be played by people for a change). So I went out, hunted down a smallish list of around 50 maps and picked maybe the best.. 6 or 7? Some of the mappers for some of the maps I intended to have added were completely gone and I couldn't grab permission, some [url=http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=11713]are easily reached when they are not currently in Las Vegas[/url] (coughvoidcough), some others were [url=http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?p=211095]incredibly hard to find[/url] (seriously, does anyone actually know who the maker of this is?) which is why we settled for the fourth map with one where "the creator is very easy for us to communicate with".
Anyway, this isn't all of the stuff to come with what I've been formally calling "the TF2C Community Map Pack #1" and informally calling "the goddamn map pack" so there's still a few more spoons of excitement I've been trying to get in to go along with this.

That's very true, a few leaks here and there made the update loads more exciting. Assuming this goes well, what would people think to a mini-ARG next time? I've always wanted to organise one of those.
Hi, i was interested in this TF2C, well i downloaded everything correctly, first the client, then both patches, uncompressed and put in the "source mod" folder. I installed SDK 2013 and choosed upcoming, download done so i restarted, launched the TF2C from steam library and... IT LAUNCHED!! I was sooo happy it worked, until... DAMNIT! when "loading" and error popped up saying:
ENGINE ERROR:
Could not load library client. Try restarting. If that doesnt work, verify the cache.
So i restarted TF2C but it instead told me :
Steam - Error
Failed to start game with shared content. Please update these games first: Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer.
So i did, but it was already up to date... Please, tell me what to do? Im running Linux Manjaro XFCE :rock:

EDIT: I didnt verify the cache, because i didnt know what that means, after i wrote this reply here i looked up on youtube what it is. When i tried to verify it, i couldnt there wasnt the tab of "Local Files". It only told me that its a third party program :words: However when i tried to do it with regular TF2, no problem. :tinfoil:
TF2C isn't compatable with Linux.

Are you sure? Isnt there a way to do it? Installing dx9 through wine or... idk something? But before the TF2C went fullscreen it appeared in windowed mode in top left corner with title: TF2C- OpenGL :rolleyes:

Someone needs to just ban RubberFruitFace from playing this, he already abused the Valve only command thing and now this?
Today i played on some servers, and people did ask questions what they could figure out easily with coming here or reading the answers from the tf2 classic group.
- How i can be a commando?*Mercenary* (Thanks because the vnn first video...)
- How can i change weapons?
- How can i make server?
- How to become civilian?
And other questions.....
But the point is that. They could really figure these out with Themselves, reading through this thread or checking the tf2 classic group.

Anyone thought about making a class that tinkers with the objectives?
E.G. Point is harder to cap for 10 seconds, Payload gives away more health and ammo.

Better to have the bugs exposed and then fixed early on than to have them persist until the playerbase is bigger. It's much easier to fix them if they get exploited when there's only a couple servers. Otherwise, someone else will could find them later on when there's 30 active servers or something, and exploit it without the devs ever finding out.

The modern tf2 replay system is broken like hell, I doubt we could pull it off if valve can't.

It's "Good shooting!" or "Nice shot,kamerad!",those are literally his only "Nice shot" voice lines. Only Engineer says "Nice shootin',Tex!". I'm pretty sure spam is not handled well by TF2007. Is this also fixed or just the uber bug? By the way,the slow backstab still sucks.

It's the infinite Uber bug. Now I can't be an friendly, and have to be a bad player, which I am so I was being an friendly to compensate.

Janitor for post-round game, where everyone is forced to clean up the mess they made in the map before the map can be changed.
