I love me some dank ass maymays as much as the next guy, but the development right now is more important than anything else
I was just trying to make a simple joke which people didn't seem to get and took it way too seriously because this is a serious thread for serious people made of stone cold seriousness. Seriously.
Development!
Poacher's Pride is like way OP and totally misses the point of Sniper!
And people are really really mean here for some reason!
that's still threadshitting
also i should start mapping shit.

Make jokes. But make them with at least your opinion or something.
But NOT memes, for the love of god.

One thing I do wanna say about all the character concepts you make is, while they all look like they fit the TF2 style EXTREMELY well, they all rely on already established palette colours and don't really try to look new - just reuse the same few colours (operators, team spirit, waterlogged). The Janitor is the only one that tries to break the mold with his green jacket, but even that is sampled from (I think?) scout and heavy's pants.
Also since the big buisness villain is for VSH, there's not much need to make him fit the palette since everyone is going to have to target only him anyway.

That's kind of a really silly, if not pointless argument. Yes each of the designs could have unique and new colors, but why should they? using the well established and very fitting colors tf2 already has to offer fits well enough as is.
Poacher's Pride - from a long-range Support class to a mid-range combat class. It can't beeee this waaaay *cue users spamming Dumb like on a sugar rush*. He should not have a hitscan weapon that's effective at mid-range and does full damage all the time and doesn't require zoom.

Fine,whatever.

Oh my fuck this thread turned to ass quick over 2 people.
Anyway, it seems like yellow is still at the top of the poll, so it's just a matter of making it look ok with other yellow items.
I know people seem to prefer yellow for whatever reason (I honestly haven't seen a good argument for it) but none the less i intend to continue trying to persuade you to go with PLM :)
Here's some of the logo designs i've been working on:

Pushed out another concept art for the warpath. (And yes up there is way better detail than here)

Now if this doesn't convince people to make purple the 4th team I don't know what will.

Common sense?
can't we just make yellow or purple optional?

Well, plan B is some proper purple TIP player skins

The spy looks like hes a pimp or something
Quick little question, is armor making a comeback from TFC/QWTF? Or would it just be over-complicating?
I think the reason why folks are ok with YLW is due to many games where there are 4 teams it tends to mostly end up being Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. Any other colours feel out of place in this kind of game type as for the longest its been those colour choices for teams in FPS games.

actually the fan base usually perfers (when skin mods are made) its grn vs prpl instead of red vs blu and yellow is ylw vs orng

Thats fans thoughs, officially games uses Red, Blue, Green and Yellow for FPS games.
I have even seen fan colours of Gold and Silver, White and Black, even Pink and that aweful lime green....
but then again I'm fine with a wide range of colours cause I play a lot of Strategy games and the colour range of choices tend to be greater for that reason. Just when it comes to FPS I do expect "Red,Blue,Green, and Yellow" with often time Yellow being switched out for Orange too as in Dead Island Epidemic the 3 teams in the scavenger game mode are Orange, Blue and Green
I know people seem to prefer yellow for whatever reason (I honestly haven't seen a good argument for it)
Because people are used to this colors. The most games I know uses red and blue for 2 teams and red, blue, green and yellow for 4 teams.

Edit:
A purple color palette could be nice. It might be easier for people to judge when the can compare the colors.
Not to mention how bad my eyes are...I actually sometimes see purple as blue but the purple you guys use and TF2 Blue is far enough apart that you can tell the difference
Edit:
I mean you guys could do it, its your project, and folks have pointed out that sometimes yellow blends into enviroments that unless you make yellow into Orange or a completely different team.
Tbh yellow seems to be kinda hard to incorporate into the art style correctly anyway since the art relies on softened shades without lots of brightness and yellow is a very bright color so its kinda hard to put it in without making it either piss yellow or orange almost
Purple honestly looks better than yellow in my opinion. Easier to spot and easier on the eyes.
Yellow looks horrible on the spy as well.

While I'm not a big fan of a purple team and think YLW's theming is much too good to pass up, that design is actually quite nice, and I wouldn't mind seeing it somewhere in the mod, just not in the form of a playable team. Buildings, scenery, or even maps with this depiction wouldn't hurt in my opinion.
Yeah, we should keep Yellow Team.

[sp]Note: I'm indifferent as to what colour gets chosen, I just wanted to make this joke.[/sp]
About purple's coloring, I remember a saint's row fortress mod that changed all of a team's color to purple and changed class icons to the SR logo. Can't find it though, it had a really nice color.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39556064/PLM3.jpg[/t]
I like this one the best, because it is the simplest.
It might be moot to critique the logo seeing as people prefer yellow, but I would get rid of the box around the full name and center the logo better. Also, this is a minor complaint, but I think Plum is a bit of a stretch as a color reference. Perhaps go with PUL as Power Utilities Lab (the atomic icon can go above the U) or VLT as Versatile Lab Technologies (the atomic icon can go above the V).
All your designs are really fantastic though, and you should incorporate them into different map signage.
As for the great color debate, I don't really have a strong preference between Yellow and Purple. Purple is nice because the primary (team spirit) and secondary (cream spirit) colors contrast better, but Yellow is more convenient.
Yeah, If the possibility exists that purple can be downloaded over yellow, I think if one choses PLM over YLW it should be clientside and not serverside
Maybe the purple team can be used in other gamemodes? Perhaps espionage or maybe even prop hunt can use it? If people like the idea of a purple team so much, then we can at least find some kind of compromise?
