I feel like a Krtizkreig backpack could do with a slightly different colour scheme to the original backpack besides the attenae and the small yellow light, it's too similar in my opinion. I remember someone made a Kritzkreig backpack a while back that had a large fan with the bright yellow backlight to it. I felt as this really fitted with the main attraction behind the Kritzkreig, as well as being easily recognizable for the enemy to identify a kritz medic with the huge yellow backlight being present.

The function of the weapon isn't really different enough from the original one to be 100% different. I could perhaps rearrange some colors, but the palette I'd like to keep Besides that, i think the strong contrast in silhouette is enough to clearly signal that it's not the default [editline]24th April 2015[/editline] Might be worht mentioning my base for this desing was making it look more offensivly orinented, as well as reducing size, mainly in the backpack, as i imagine turning a full person invincible requires more power than simply overcharging their weapon
I really do think though that having a stronger focus on the yellow light could benefit the Kritzkreig, since the eyes are more naturaly drawn to the bright contrasting colour then the silhouette.
True, but the light doesn't have to be much bigger than this to be very eye catching, considering its placed against such a dark background, and i figured keeping the light itself more or less the same as on the original would make it very clear that its meant to work the same way as for focusing on that gimmick alone i think would be a much less interesting way to take the design.
I'd say possibly make the hatch/vent thing on the backpack a touch bigger, but that's just nitpicking really. Really like the look of it, makes it look better than just a clip-on for the normal Medigun.
Had a go at designing a full kritzkrieg replacement
These were my attempts from a few days ago, because i was asked to completely redesign it and not use the original nozzle attachment: [t]http://puu.sh/hn7xc.jpg[/t][t]http://puu.sh/hn0Ge.jpg[/t] Eventually ended up going off from the idea of a Kritz replacment and ended up with this: The Blitzableiter: [t]http://puu.sh/hpmR9.jpg[/t]

Even though I had argued the same reasoning you are about it being the same so it should look practically the same.
Snip
Speaking of Mediguns, will the Overhealer be getting a makeover as well? While the double nozzle thing should definitly stay as it's the most unique part of it, the fact that it's nearly identical to the standard Medigun other then the duo-nozzle is something I feel should be avoided.

One of the things I liked about Final Combat was it had a tenth class that was a CSS knockoff inside tf2 [editline]24th April 2015[/editline] What's this about Yellow Purple debating? I haven't been in this thread at all so maybe as some fresh eyes I can take a look into it. I really like the color purple. More than yellow. That being said, Purple is a combination of red and blue and should probably be reserved for neutral colors like the Announcer model has. I think it should be yellow because of this. Wasn't that the other team color in the real thing? Althought the team color wouldn't matter if the teams were handled the same way the old game was- In TFC and some other HL1 engine games they had the plain model and used a texture code to change the colors on the fly, much like the paint system for hats. I've always wondered, is it possible to apply this same system to the team color? In my opinion, that's what should be tried.
So I thought I'd sketch some ideas for the new kritzkrieg: [t]http://i.imgur.com/msQiPVR.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/3JLdg2d.jpg[/t] Haven't refined the pack yet.
"purple"
Oh my god Please let's have something similar in TF2C. I beg of you.
I thought that was that the GenericMerc was going to be.
I thought that was that the GenericMerc was going to be.
Really? I remember seeing gameplay of DM mode on Youtube, it seemed like the Merc had no unique weapons and picked them up from the map like Quake or UT.
