The smoking merc backs away, scared, and stumbles over a crate. An RPG falls out of the crate, and the smoking merc picks it up. He tries to fire at the leader merc, but one of the fighting mercs knocks into him, sending the rocket off target. The rocket hits the big stack of crates on the train. Every merc pauses fighting. In the explosion, loads of different kinds of guns rain down on the group of mercs. Finally, it zooms out of the firefight, and we seen the group of the original 9 mercs, with the Spy joining them as they come into frame. They're all relaxing in lawn chairs, drinking beers, laughing and cheering as they watch the generic mercs beat the crap out of each other.[/QUOTE] What I like about this one compared to mine is that it: A) Made clear that other Mercs are fighting each other in the game mode. B) Made clear the other 9 classes are not involved in the game mode. Also, I'd love to see a shot where one of the Mercs is attempting to build a sentry, but builds a cobled mess combining a dispenser and a sentry. He scratches his head before getting shot.

Edit: Moved White's hands a bit, fixed clipping on Brown's right hand, and made Blue look a bit more at the camera.[/QUOTE] If we want as much of a proper representation of the merch and his function i'd say avoid making it seem like he does [b]everything[/b] the other mercs do, as he for example would not build any sentries or buildings, and I'm pretty sure he woudln't use any of the other merc's meeles, considering those all have the basic same stats and are only different to fit the class itself, and im sure he'd have his own combat knife eventually. Try replacing the meeles with the scattergun, nailgun/syringe gun and shotgun perhaps? or any other generally fitting DM weapons, even if there ends up being multiple ones originally from the same class also the yellow guy could probably crouch if you want the guys behind him to show better and im not sure we should allow black or even that dark of a brown as actual choosable colors for deathmatch for the sake of keeping everyone equally bright and visible

There aren't really any maps that have dark areas, and if it's a matter of blending in, there also isn't a lot of black walls and such.

Besides this it would generally go againt the rest of the games design to have completely dark players as an option. one way or another people will chose the color which blends in wiht the enviroment as much as they can as long as they have the option to, weather its black or the same shade of concrete that map happens to have. Id say we should only allow bright colors which are picked out in advance to be clearly distinguishable from any map setting

And sticking with the bright coloured playermodels that tf2 has makes sense.

The usual crew would be for cases where the professionals are needed to be called in, while the mercs are the cannon fodder. For my weeb comparison: think the one stars from Kill la Kill. (I can't think of any decent game comparison, maybe RTS grunts? I dunno)
Since everyone was throwing out their Ideas for a Meet the Mercenary video (if it's decided one will be made) I think it'd be better to stick with the original idea of the "Meet the" videos where they take place as an interview of sort with bits of random gameplay thrown in, as well as some animated scenes. It doesn't have to be awfully long and more like a minute or two short or so. I have a WIP script that i'd been working on for fun that sort of follows this idea but I'm not gunna post it mainly because I haven't finished the base idea for it yet as well as the fact that like 6 people just posted one too.
[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Y7EfhAI.jpg[/IMG] Changed Black Merc to pink, changed Brown Merc to dark salmon, made Yellow Merc crouch a bit, replaced Blue Merc's wrench with a shotgun and replaced the toolbox with a random wooden box, gave Yellow Merc a scattergun, replaced Dark Salmon Merc's 6-Slot Grenade Launcher with the 4-Slot one, and replaced White Merc's bonesaw with a pistol. Thanks to the people that made suggestions for improvements. Edit: Made box smaller, changed Pink Merc to blue and Blue Merc to pink.

Also pink merc is behind the crate by his feet, but infront at his arm, which looks rather weird.

A meet the team thing for all characters in the tf2c style would take a long while but a trailer would still be mroe reachable.
