Download: [URL]http://www.mediafire.com/download/55zmujexar3l444/4ort_v30_DET.bsp[/URL] [B][I](Latest Public Version)[/I][/B] All spawns and buildings are identical in layout and health/ammo placement. The edges of the map and upper sections have small health packs as pickups for scouts and rocket/sticky jumpers while medium packs sit on platforms to draw people out of cover. There is also a medium health pickup in the center of the four bridges to reward those who take the obvious and dangerous under route. The intel rooms [U]will[/U] have static props and no build func brushes around corners to prevent engineer turtling, along with this there are going to be small health packs to reward those who get through the bottom one way entrance. However this raises the issue that 2fort has come across, the spawns intersecting the intel route, something I'm still trying to figure out. Each spawn has two exits that split into two more paths as to prevent cross map snipers, the immediate split and the opaque doors help at this too. The team variant building scheme will go like so: Blue = Flat roofs, industrial theme. (Default TF2 style.) Red = Angular roofs, farm theme. (Default TF2 style.) Green = Flat roofs with projections and radio towers, exterior gives off the [I]then[/I] modern feel of a poor gas station in the middle of no where, IE fake rock exterior with stucco above it, with a polished wooden interior. Very subdued in light flavor, going for a more warm feel, like a green house. Yellow = Sloped roofs with an overall metal/dock theme, lots of heavy machines and equipment, generally found around seasonally wet areas. Very imposing with harsh light, angular corners and jagged floors. There were lots of different suggestions on what the rules should be posted a while back. I would recommend starting off with no changes in the rules and see how that plays out. This, I think, would give you the best idea of what needs to be tweak (if anything), instead of jumping right into custom rules. I was thinking, the normal classes' personalities are intended to match up with their gameplay and role, right? i.e. Scout, the king of irritating enemies and glass cannon, is an annoying loudmouth, as well as a cowardly showoff; Heavy is fearless and bloodthirsty yet intellectual/strategic; Engineer is calm and complacent; Medic is spazzy and nervous but has bouts of psychopathic murderocity, etc. So it should probably be the same for the Merc, right? The Merc is in a mode with no teamwork, designed exclusively around getting kills rather than strategy or objectives, and has no standout stats beyond his weapon's. So to fit with that, maybe he'd be extremely rude to others (no teamwork here, just one messy bully-fest. Also a good way to shove in my beloved "EXCUSE ME, BUT I'M IN NEED OF MEDICAL ATTENTION"), obsessed with personal glory, and wildly paranoid (EVERYONE IS AN ENEMY). Not especially bright, nor particularly strong, he compensates by bragging about how great his guns are ("TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS A ROUND, BABY!") rather than himself. Also in an effort to be the bestest merc there ever was, he bullies the crap out of everyone else on the battlefield, spending most of his time insulting the Administrator, the other Mercs, the original 9 classes, and the battlefield itself.

Screaming "EXCUSE ME", before asking for medical attention also seems like something someone who has no patience for anything would say. Not to mention he's in the middle of an interview while torturing(?) the Spy at the same time, it seems like he's doing it because he wants to do the interview quick so he doesn't stay in the open for too long, keeping in the no patience for anything thought.
I thing he is just "toying" with the Spy's decapitated head, a la Soldier.

On the page prior, danielmm8888 stated a patch was coming soon, and at the time of writing that post is 23 hours old, and I, for one, am getting antsy. How long do you guys think until the patch goes live?
By soon, I would assume in the next week or so. Won't be mad if he released it sooner though, obviously..

I decided to mess around with the DM Merc in Gmod- did a couple of "Meet the New Class" type of shots with the Mountain Lab hexes on Medic and the unfortunately not HWM Civilian by Rebaccus. Unfortunately I'm not good with posing quite yet (I've only just started playing Gmod again after 2 years of lack of access due to weird tech problems Valve couldn't figure out on my end), and the Civ model didn't have any animations with it (I know it's on Soldier's rig though) so the posing on him compared to Medic- I mean Scientist - and DM Merc is pretty bad. I also made him fat. Edit: I should point out- at least on my copy- the DM merc is missing a lot of textures and/or cubemap things for his other skins.

Idk why but I feel inclined to mention that I will now be trying to create some form of assault rifle/ak47 type weapon to be used with perhaps the merc or pyro or whatever. Simply ignore this if you couldn't care less.
