Medic doesn't need to be carrying around a legit shotgun, as it doesn't fit his "self-made" and "medical equipment" weapon aesthetics, hence why it still uses elements of the syringe gun for ammo and the trigger. I am more than willing to reanimate the viewmodel myself (or get someone more competent to do it)

Its a purposeful color choice i made because of the healing feature, if in development the healing on hit is removed, I will tweak the color scheme accordingly.

No. Just no. If you want to bring back his close range burst-healing, replace the medigun, not any other weapon. Not only would it be kinda on the OP side to have both a medigun and the equivalent of the medpack in the same loadout, medic's shotgun needs to be what it was- just an offensive weapon. We should be bringing him back to "Scout's bigger, tougher brother", not pushing him more toward Valve's new namby-pamby straight up healer class.

Medic isn't meant to be an offensive class, giving him a shotgun that's on par with all the other shotguns will make battle medics a lot more common. That's the reason the syringe gun works the way it currently works, chasing someone with it is incredibly hard because the projectiles are slow and arc (and also have falloff) while firing at someone chasing you is a lot easier to do. Basically, giving the medic a reliable offensive weapon will cause a lot of medics to be selfish and rely on their weapon to survive rather than healing teammates so they in turn protect their medic.

Faithful doesn't always mean fun and balanced.
