I never got banned/kicked for a stupid reason, but my CoD fanboy friend played TF2 the first time, he was in a server with a dumb admin, after 5 minutes of playing Heavy, the admin kicked everyone in the server.
I once got kicked for "Instant respawn hack" when i was using the dead ringer

I saw someone getting kicked for winning in an =(eGO)= Server.
I got permabanned for killing a pyro over and over, who was afk anytime he was out of respawn. Admiin banned me for the reason: Hacking Faggot.
I was playing on the Vipers (-V-) server, and some admin hiding in the console kicked me because I said gay, which was not against the rules. They say no racial slurs, and gays aren't a race. I got banned for arguing with him, and I started a forum in the admin abuse thread on their site, because the admin was just kicking and slaying people. I was called an idiot by 6 admins, including the chicken-shit one, so I just quit.
Lost story short, you now get banned if you say gay or racial slurs for one day, and Vipers are just a bunch of butthurt babies :)
I've been banned for "autism" once.
Literally no lead-up to it or anything, suddenly I'm just booted from the game with a "You have been banned, reason: autism" staring at me. Sometimes I think it's better to not even try to understand :v:

This a pretty great conversation between my friend and an admin of this finnish dm_duel server.
It's mostly Heavies/Soldiers/Huntsman Snipers spamming from inside the spawn.
The server is literally full of 10-15 year olds where the older kids are constantly raging at the younger ones and telling them to shut up because of their voice. It's pretty great.
Me and my friend were fooling around there and my friend did nothing but kill the admin all the time and if the admin responded somehow my friend would say something stupid to him.
In the end instead of perm banning my friend the admin kicked himself. I don't even.
Nowadays the admin gets himself godmode and starts spamming huntsman into the enemy spawn.
Didn't happen to me, but it's still stupid enough to warrant being posted here.
A long time ago on a trade server I used to frequent there was a nice guy who came on it fairly frequently.
He mained Sniper and when there wasn't a huge bloodbath on the server and everyone was just messing around he would equip his strange Jarate and throw it around. It eventually made it to Australian.
Anyway, one day an admin joined the server just to see what was going on and happened to see that Sniper's "Australian Jarate". 10 seconds later the guy was banned for "offensive item name".

I posted a few pages back about the time I kicked Shibby's ass on his server and got a 2 month ban with no reason given. He is the epitome of being corrupted by fame and that shit, to the point of banning for getting dominated. That was over 3 months ago. Haven't gone back since.

I would lag like crazy if I ever played in Shibby's, Jerma's or STAR_'s servers, so my opinion on them is based mostly through their videos.
I always knew Shibby was somewhat of an arrogant prick, but didn't know it was this bad. Shibby was the least I liked out of the three to begin with.
Jerma seems to be more open, happy and in general a nicer person. STAR_, is the most humble TF2 YouTuber I know of. You can just tell through his videos that STAR_'s a nice guy. He seems like a quiet humble person. I seriously wanna hug the guy.

The only time I can remember is a rather stale one to say the least.
I'm pretty sure it was around the time of Scream Fortress or something so everybody was busy on halloween servers and stuff, I got bored and decided to play some 2fort because why the hell not. I joined some empty server and decided to wait so soon enough someone else joined. We both went scout and decided to have some pseudo-duel. Long story short I ended up mauling the guy at every turn and hadn't let him get one chance to kill me, so he decided to [B]voteban[/B] me as soon as someone else joined the game and got on his team. I don't know if this guy was his back-up or whatever but he decided to vote for banning me too.
And apparently if you get votebanned from there it is [I]permanent.[/I]

To be honest, I never watched Shibbys videos for a long long time.
His video feed never bothered me because I never pay attention to the main YouTube page anyway, since due to other subscriptions, it's already got a lot of other feeds to it.
My attitude is, if I wanna watch a video on a channel I subbed to, I visit that channel to see any new videos.
The reason I never watched his videos is because of his arrogant attitude. It's apparent now that he's an arrogant prick, but before I knew how full of it he was, I did get a feeling he was actually a bit of a prick.
Because of this, I hardly watched his videos. Then when I found STAR_, that was it, I never went back. All the more reason to have unsubbed from Shibby. If I watch anything TF2 related on YouTube, it's honestly either STAR_, Comp videos or Jump videos.

That sounds a awful lot like the 'get wrecked, kid' server, like we guessed earlier, the server permabans people from two certain groups upon joining: FacepunchStudios and SPUFServer.
It probably has something to do that he got banned from both sites.
