Ubering the scoreboard-topping Pyro instead of the Direct Hit Soldier who happened to be a moderator
After we destroyed their sentry/dispenser we backed off and just as I saw the guy standing on the same place staring at me, I got kicked for racism
Asked a mod to please stop using the !shrinkme command (or whatever it is called) as a sniper
bump it baby bump it
Anyways I jumped inront of a sniper in a hallway and he was an admin. I airblasted him into a cornor and continuasly w+m1ed him until he was dominated. He banned me for "Hacker"
I joined a server once and got up to close the door, and by the time I sat down a votekick for "idle" was already issued for me. It passed :v:
Was playing on a Powerhouse server as a demoknight, this one dude was accusing of a scout (which later disconnected) and a solly for being aimbotters. He tried to run into me, disguised as a Scout to try and get one of those 1337 l33t backstabs. Which i responded with charging into him with a shield and getting his head. He started calling me a hacker after that, telling me that he reported me and shit. Me and the Solly got sick of it and started a vote to kick him, which failed. Later, he started a vote to kick me. I giggled for a second then...
it passed
Me and a friend were playing some 2fort on the TF2APP server today. He sends me this screenshot of a pretty lulzy back-and-forth between the Head Admin and Owner as he was permabanned for using the Scorch shot.

Needless to say I've blacklisted all of their servers. Seems pretty pointless to play on such a poorly admin'd server such as this.
Jesus, so many dumb people that ban others for no reason and just to boost their massive ego because they got wrecked hard.
I've set up a great defence on red in a valve server, a guy from blu joins red and voicekicks me for "Cheating"
my team voted yes.
:tableflip:
i was in a jump server there was a raffle going on while i was practiting admin switched servers after a while at failing miserably at pogos the admin asked me if i was participating told him that i was practing got banned for the server for 1 month
"Can we not have 3 spies"
"You have been voted off."
Banned for grabbin' people with the Grappling Hook and then killing them with Übersaw.
Seriously, that admin MUST be an 8-year-old kid.
I've only been kicked around 3 to 5 times over the years I've been playing. I actually got kicked recently when a person was called out for being hackers and then his two buddies were making claims that hacker wouldn't have a hales owned sniper rifle or one of those achievement hats for youtube videos. I just asked "What about the hat?" and "Hales owned", hacker then goes and asks "if I'm a hacker, how did you kill me?" when he was on scout, I said "Crit rocket lol".
Then he swapped over to my team, started a vote and both of his friends immidently said "he scammed me", before I could laugh it off and ask where the received items from the trade, I was kicked. All within seconds of the vote. Which makes me wonder if there's a way to force votes to go through. Wish I was spectator to see if he knew how to kick people via commands.
Anywho, other times were "we kicked a hackers medic" and "because I'm a brony", both of which happened a few months after Two Cities kicked off.
Other then that, I've had like a few handful of kick requests... Usually due to killing friendies or something dumb like that on valve pub servers...
Nothing really eventful though, I just shrug and move on. I got better things to do then worry about nonsense that goes on on Valve servers lol.
No reason at all.
Just playing on a Valve server casually. Never talk in chat or voice chat. Nobody ever refers to me in chat. Playing somewhat well as a pretty standard soldier, but others are scoring better.
Random votekick against me with no reason given.
Overwhelming yes votes.
Kicked.
???
It really bothers me how many people automatically assume that someone throwing a votekick out there means that I must be doing something wrong.
I got kicked from a Dr server for asking for help. No, I'm not tagg.
Details gonna be spared, since this was about 3 years ago, but it's definitely my favourite ban, and it was certainly memorable, given that it lasted about 2 hours of people shouting at me over the mic.
I used to go on this orange server and snipe, and there was an admin on the server, who loved to play demoknight. He was known for having a bit of an ego and popping shit over the mic. Most of the people on the server were somewhat 'scared' of him, because he had a tendancy to ban people and shit if they argued. Of course sniping against someone charging straight at you is pretty easy, tide turner didn't exist back then. So every time I'd join the server I'd end up dominating this admin, who ended up really hating me, since I was playing a no skill class. (Given that I was sniping on orange I understand this.)
So eventually I'd made friends with a lot of the people on there, I kind of got to know most of the players, I ended up joining the community, played LoL with a few of the guys, etc. Guy was extremely angry when I connected with the tag, told me he'd ban me immediately if I didn't take it off. The head admin told him I'd been invited, so nothing came of it.
At this point the demoknight guy was getting pretty antsy, I kept joining the server, playing sniper, and dominating this guy, and there was nothing he could do because I was a member. Eventually he starts noclipping around. Usually there were other admins on, and what would end up happening was the whole server would get in an sv_cheats fight and it'd be pretty fun, but on this occasion there was nobody else there, except a few regulars. So there wasn't really anyone to stop him, he ended up muting/gagging anyone that said anything to him about it. He spawnkills me specifically for a few minutes, he's got about 15 or more kills on me, I'm 'decent' at sniper but I'm not really good enough to kill people popping out the floor. Eventually I get lucky and score a revenge headshot, so he slays me, shouts at me on the mic a bit. I end up getting another and he permabans me.
It's not the end of the story though, (sorry.)
I end up talking to the owner, basically saying, what gives, one of your head admins just banned me for sniping, and he was spawncamping me with noclip. Apparently, this has actually happened before to multiple people, and the owner ends up removing demoknight guy from the group, taking away his admin, and permabanning him.
Few weeks later though, he's back, having apologised (not to me, obviously.) Doesn't take long for him to be back at it, he ends up slaying some medic with 100% for not pocketing him. When the guy told him he was pocketing the heavy and it wasn't called for, he permabans him. I tell him that it's bs, and he basically just says "Do you not like how this servers ran?" and I just say something to the effect of "Not with you" and before I know it, this guys told all these admins that I was saying I thought the server was run horribly and mouthing off about how bad the admins were, basically.
In minutes a flood of members and admins come in telling me if I don't like it I should fuck off, kill myself, etc- even the ones I'd before been friends with. The only person not talking shit to me is the owner, but he messages me saying there's essentially nothing he can do, I wasn't giving up for a while, I stayed in the server for defiance, occasionally getting in a kill in between being spawncamped by noclip, slain, etc. Eventually they just ban me. Not much was lost really.
The part I find funny is even this poor easily influenced kid of about 13 is chatting mess, even though most of the members had been talking about how annoying he was behind his back etc. To me, that symbolised that even though there were a few genuine guys in the group, it was pretty rotten at the core.
In my opinion, the circumstances were extremely strange regarding the situation. For the owner, it was pretty obvious, and he openly admitted that he knew demoknight guy was just talking shit, yet, he took no action. Plot thickens, because as far as I can tell, few people actually liked the demoknight guy anyway, but they all seemed to believe him at the drop of a hat. I really can't understand how that could be the case, all things considered, because the original altercation we had was very public, and quite a few members thanked me for 'getting rid of him.' I understand how the owner didn't want to lose his community over me, although I do think he's a bit fake and a pushover for that, but what I can't understand is why the whole community sided with him in the first place. My theory is that he planned "framing" me for a very long time, but it's a mystery that I don't really care enough to solve.
Having just checked, today, they apparently still have a server up, but it seems like the community itself fell apart. Good riddance really.
Considering now this thread is kinda sorta maybe back, I might as well post something.
So, I am still a regular on this orange pub I talked about some time ago on general chat and it has been going good for a long while now. No one has been spewing shit, the "comp stars" of the server has been nicer than ever and the admins have been banning people for pretty normal reasons.
That is until a week ago, of course.
You see, we had this new group of regulars for around 2 months and they have been nice ever since. Last week, I was playing Heavy while this new regular was playing Scout on the enemy team. He was wearing lime cosmetics on all of his classes, which I always made jokes about and he always answered them with "dude your heavy has a team colored beard you cannot judge me :(". Anyway, we were melee fighting until this random pink wearing Pyro that I have never seen before came in, airblasted me and then killed me with the reserve crutch. On top of all that, he decided to taunt and call me out on the chat for dying. I was like "Eh, whatever. Should not fuel him by answering him. He will just say "lol salty kek git gud -lenny face-" even if i put up a proper argument." and moved on. I never had a gunfight with that Pyro expect for like 2 times where I killed him when he was on low health by complete surprise.
Anyway, we met each other 1v1 on mid. He immediately tried to do the same thing in the first place, airblast me and shoot me with the reserve crutch. But alas, I survived and mowed him down right after. Which then our dear Pyro had the idea to say "lmao look at this fag playing Heavy no skill class lmao XD" which I quickly answered with "Dude, you are using the Reserve Shooter as a Pyro. You have NO RIGHTS to call anything I play "no skill" right now." then he did not answer me. Until we met each other again, expect as Soldiers. This time, he had a black box and a conch when I had Stock+Gunboats and I died because he got a crit at really low health (around 12) then decided to taunt. At this point, I thought I would be a piece of ass too and equipped my Beggar's Bazooka. After getting a god-like kill-streak and dominating half of the enemy team, I realized he started showing up less and less each time I killed him. I did not mind, cause that meant I did not have to deal with his bullshit, yay!
But alas, that fun was short lived as he got a pocket Medic. I was always in this scenario where he was CLEARLY tunnel-visioning me as I was behind half of my team and was just coming out of spawn. But I never died in that scenario, no no. The times I died was when his Med popped kritz and I died to him spamming from the tower or from his spawn to BLU'S second point. At this point, the Lime Scout we had earlier was also getting tired of him and decided he would join me so we would kick his ass together. We planned together with him that he would bait him into attacking him and I would mow both the med and him while they were going after him. This worked for a while and we even got a dom at the end. At this point, we both were really tired and went to bed. Next day, we came back and realized that douche from earlier had premium membership now. Guess what our membership now gives you apparently?
Access to !god, !buddha and much more. No one used these powers outside of being friendly on the server, so they never pulled that out. BUT, this guy was using them to kill us over and over again cause he was too pathetic to win without commands. Some time later, we called in an admin telling him that he was abusing his powers. BUT, turns out this admin did not want to lose his monthly 3 keys... So me and this guy was muted from chat. We started talking about how "The admin and his little premium wanker was unable to understand that they cannot win without commands" through the mic, which got us banned 7 days for "Disrespect."
Such is life in Turkey, baby.
Oh, it's cp_orange storytime? I got one too from like.. 2012 or something.
There was this local server running it that I went on at times. Was pretty silly but had some things in check to prevent it from becoming a complete sniperfest, sniper was actually limited to 1 or 2 and it had stuff like surf-server air control to encourage soldiers and demos flying around. All in all a pretty great place to go for some mindless deathmatching.
Funnily enough that was the server that sent me down the path that made me a sniper "main" nowadays, as some pretty alright snipers went on there just to click on some heads. Getting slapped around by people a lot better than me was like a boot camp on such a map, and eventually it got to the point where people would cede the sniper slots to a handful or regulars (me included) to keep the snipers occupied with eachother so the rest of the server could actually play other classes.
Sounds like some kind of underdog story this far, but the owner of the server did have some other ones too, mostly running other non-serious maps like 2fort variations and some other stuff, and needed some help with administrating. I have no idea where he found this one guy who spent a week or so as a gimped trial moderator on the orange server. He got a bit angry at times, had a really narrow view where anything besides scout was a class for "those with severe brain problems" in his own words, and he was admittingly pretty decent at scout.
But then he became an actual admin, and decided to join in on the 1v1 or 2v2 sniper war one day. Firstly, he kicked a pretty decent sniper because he refused to cede the slot to him, and then he proceeded to get pretty demolished. Even when the other sniper on his team started pocketing him with old vaccinator to give my team's snipers a challenge he couldn't do much. He started throwing out "subtle" hackusations and it was pretty clear he was convinced I was cheating, until he straight up said he was banning me for "vac proof injected triggerbot" or something else oddly specific. Permaban as well.
Took me like 5 minutes at most to get unbanned by adding up the actual owner, and I got back on the server just in time to see pretty much everyone that recognized me complain and question what he did, seems like he had banned someone else for a similar reason while I was gone too, and soon enough he was stripped of his admin powers. He took it surprisingly well and kept playing on the server with little friction, and improved crazily fast on sniper without causing too much friction (besides taunting a LOT after killing me, but who cares)
... until he got banned after admitting to another regular that he actually had gotten a "VAC proof cheat", but tried to argue it was "not that bad" because he stuck to triggerbot as opposed to all out spinbot headshot-a-thon.. which was kind of funny considering what he accused me of in the first place. To his credit I am pretty sure he didn't get VAC'd, so good choice in cheats I guess?
Needless to say the server is beyond dead now, if it even still exists. Seems to be a common theme in this thread, dumb bans seem to be a sign of a server's eventual death :v:
You guys are lucky. All the cp_orange servers that I have gone on are too tolerant to ban me, even when I'm trying my best to actually get banned on it.
Oh, speaking of bans from the old time. I still have one stored up I believe.
It was not on cp_orange this time though, I believe it was on a 24/7 2Fort server I was a regular on (Which is now completely dead, shame really.) and I was only kicked.
You see, while the server was nice and all there was this one admin that seemed to be the real edge. He was wearing black cosmetics on all of his classes (Not without being generic, too!) and half of his names were named after phobias, or they were edgy quotes if they were not named after phobias. He was pretty decent at Scout and Pyro BUT ONLY Scout and Pyro, he hated all the other classes and considered them "cringe-worthy and no-skill" classes. Anyway, I was playing with a group of regulars when he came in, he joined the enemy team cause of course he has to prove that only Scout and Pyro are good classes to "The Ultimate Heavy Main" (Me). He was a Scout and I was of course a Heavy when we were met in the bridge. He started doing what a Scout does, jumping around and dodging while shooting me and I was tracking him like a Heavy would and should. I killed him and moved on. But, it came to my attention that he did not like that. Having no viewmodels and no chat at the time (I wanted to be like the hip cool comp guys :c) I checked the chat, only to notice he was complaining about me since I have killed him. I got killed by him cause he got a crit, and I said "Wow, RNG giving your enemy triple damage is so good." which he answered with "lmao ur pathetic it's just a game". I being the smarty boy I was said "That phrase is pretending something that is not true. As long as it's in a game, the loss is only neutral." and decided I would move on. Anyway, I had chat up that time around and was giggling like a dumb fuck about how that guy was still crying about me playing Heavy. I said "Oh my god, if you hate Heavy that much why don't you just learn how to counter it and not die? Jeez." but he did not give an answer. At this point it was very well known he wanted me AND ME SPECIFICALLY dead, tunnel-visioning me when I am 10 kilometers away and much more. I somehow managed to dominate him, which then another pocket Med came into the scene which was unsurprisingly his internet girlfriend. I still managed to win and pick on the at the same time (I was a prick back then, but I still think they deserved it.) which apparently was pushing his GF to committing suicide. I said "You do know one would suicide only if they are suffering serious issues, right? I am sure being picked on in a game cause you are losing even with infinite regeneration is not a serious issue." which the admin from earlier answered with "It's not like you know jack-shit about suicide, virgin faggot."
I giggled it off and answered them with "Dude, I am sure I know suicide better than Mr. Edgy Scout Main and Mrs. """Suicidal""" Tumblr Medic Main."
I was kicked off for "Forcing people into suicide."
His GF was living the dream at that time, so she had no reason to suicide other than me picking on them IN A VIDEO GAME.
At least that server is now dead, so no one has to see them ever again.
Mine's not too great of a story, but a bit of the classic rage vote kick.
I was on a Valve server playing ctf_foundry back when Mannpower was first added to the game. At one point in the game, I met this one player who only played Soldier. They kept failing to kill me with the exception of an occasional success, eventually leading to me dominating them like 3 or 4 times. They must not have been too good of a player, as I wasn't the only one dominating them, maybe about 3 others were.
Anyways, they got mad in chat and kept raging in caps yelling at everybody on my team, even those who weren't killing them. It was funny until, everytime they killed us, they treated it like they had just unboxed a 700$ unusual, saying how they were the greatest at the game, that they could never be killed (yeah, sure), and how we all sucked shit at the game.
Eventually at some point they went into spectator to force the game to balance someone so that they could get on our team. When the game finally auto-balanced someone and they joined our team, they said "Finally, now I can kick all you faggot fuckers". I was the first one they vote kicked so I don't know if they kicked anyone else, as I was the first to go.
That's Valve pubs for ya though.
Joined a Landfall CTF server.
Go to middle.
Guy starts airblasting me.
Clip him with a shotgun, dealing about 20 damage and killing him.
Some guy yells at me that this is a friendly server.
Okay, go and be friendly with everyone.
About 20 minutes pass, haven't done anything, just been conga-ing with people.
Get banned from the server for killing friendlies.
So either someone contacted an admin to ban me, and he didn't even look at what I was doing when he did it.
Or someone spent 20 minutes trying to ban me.
Either way, this is why I hate the "friendly community"
i got kicked from a trade server for having this loadout:

[sp]reason: furfag[/sp]
Don't think I ever got kicked for it but boy did the salt flow once about a year ago.
Was on some random 2fort server and found the team lagging behind, we had no medic either so I decided to hop on. Started charging people but nobody was really pushing for the intelligence so I decided to take the initiative. As it happens, I manage to put our team's score ahead by at least 10 points and clear out the enemy's base numerous times whilst stealing their intelligence, all whilst relying only on my syringe gun, medigun and hacksaw. A few tried to votekick me for it, I think and some called me out for being a combat medic but in the end if they were halfway decent at their classes they wouldn't be getting destroyed.
TL;DR wipe my ass with the other team as a medic, pubs gun' pub. I'll find a screen of it if I can when I get back home tomorrow.
Joined Mann Up Bigrock match, chose Engineer, built teleporter in the same place as usual and then proceeded to built other buildings. Before I entered the cave - voting to kick me off. I ask "Why? What did I do?" In response I got "Kick that noob Engie, he doesn't even know where to build teleporters." Before I managed to respond - vote passed and I got kicked off. I've played dozens of Bigrock matches and no one has ever complained about my teleporter placement.
I got kicked from a Hightower server because I ran backwards and pushed the cart a little, but I rejoined regardless.
But I did spend that next round purposely sitting on the cart and jumping off just as it would cap.
Asked by friends to play Jailbreak, I've only touched the gamemode once or twice in the past out of boredom and never found any fun in it.
After about 30 minutes of my friends pestering I joined.
"Stand on the line" one of the cops would say, of course everyone rushes out of their cells to stand on the nearby line, one of the cops who was an admin looks in my direction and stops still.
He doesn't say anything for a while leaving everyone confused.
Then suddenly "You were banned, reason: He said stand, not crouch on the line"
Apparently the guy takes the server super seriously, as after I was banned one of my friends was banned for standing on the chairs in a theatre and not crouching.
This is why Jailbreak is awful in my opinion...
Me and some other players got kicked out of the DreamHack expo venue before the DHS TF2 Grand Finals could happen. Does this count?
There was this one time that I was playing a Hightower pub, and this guy with no profile picture joined the server. He called a votekick on me and just started spamming "yes please" in the chat. The vote passed and I've never been more confused about getting kicked.
Oh, and also the time where I went godlike with the FaN and the FoW and this other Scout on my team kept telling me I was terrible and using noob guns and then kicked me.
While I'm well aware about all the nonsense that goes in hightower in regards to capping. I jump into one for the intention on practicing landing pills with demomen and notice people just seem to kick for no apparent reason at all.
People getting too many kills, lets kick him
People killing friendlies ( who are often humping a teammate that is attacking the other team ), kick him
People looking at you the wrong way, let's kick him
You can't even DM on the map anymore, and I thought that's what people wanted it to be. I ended up getting kicked by nailing the same scout over and over again with direct pills, which is why I was there in the first place.
So, what's the point of the map now lol?
At this point, I'd laugh if Valve actually updated this map and removed those sections of the map where the payload flies backwards ( including the final parts of the track ) if no teammates are humping the payload. Then force a timer on the map that cannot be extended. Apparently though, this map is just too confusing to new players...

Market Gardening Soldiers, Sniper battles and Scouts. Go anything else and players get mad because you're "Ruining their fun"
Go Medic because enemy team is a mess of Beggars Bazooka soldiers? "Kicked because unfair advantage"
Go Pyro to airblast rockets back? "Kicked because unfair counter"
Go Spy to get rid of the annoying Snipers? "Kicked because unfair counter"
It's honestly a good map with players that are too lazy to go to 24/7 no cap hightower servers for their specific playstyle.

Shit sucks is all I'm going to say.
Landing pills is one of the things I really want to get better at too... =/
Kind of feel bad at anyone wanting to play payload race or even hightower in general for the normal play as well. Since it seems it's pretty much impossible unless you find a good reliable community server that isn't dead...
