It's actually kind of surprising, CF doesn't really have a lot of TF2 SFM videos, even though he works on a LOT of particle effects listed on steam workshop, and as far as I can tell, they're both really cool guys, I've interacted with Edbotnik a few times on Twitter and he's one of the few people modding MK8, he's even working on MK Double Dash mods.
now all we need is a mod to replace all map ambiance sounds with battlefield ambiance with gunfire and mortars, and then you can stick em both together and call it "Medic simulator"

He didn't leave for the same reasons star_ did though. Pretty sure he never actively started disliking TF2 during those 3 years
Some people just lose interest in the game, or another game catches their interests.
I've had the same thing happen at least 5 times the past 4 years. SMNC, League, Overwatch, Loadout, Gigantic, Borderlands 2, I just keep coming back because the other games either die or become unfun.
