I love it when I have a team that is the same rank as me and we play lots and lots of games together and improve together only to have all of them advance to higher ranks while I'm barely out of silver. I can't play games with them anymore since I'm not as good as them. I can't find another group to play with and improve together and even then if I do get another group the same thing will happen again. My only chance is to solo queue and you know how everybody's against it..
try harder when you're silver lack of improvement is simply a lack of effort put into improving
How? I really try hard to improve. I watch tutorials and pro videos everywhere I can and I play the game a lot and try to improve harder. I try to put many hours into the game. If I weren't trying hard I wouldn't get a team to play with and practice together with, whether it's comp, training maps or any other.
Throw yourself into a CEVO game You'll get your ass kicked by people much better than you but you will learn much about aiming and strategy than you will watching a pro game
Eastern European teammates are the worst, like a solid 50% of them have a microphone so shit that even if they did give calls in a language you understand you wont be able to decipher what they said due to static and white noise absolutely fucking you hearing up. [editline]5th December 2016[/editline] I mean, are headsets part of the sanctions on russia?

Just got to remember CS is one of those games where it takes fucking forever to get good at it for a lot of people, you'll just naturally get better over time if you really are trying to improve. Stop worrying so much about improving and have fun with the game, but at the same time still keep the improvement mentality (or whatever the word is) in the back of your mind if that makes sense. I managed to get to DMG - LE thinking like this until I stopped playing so much + rank re shift, which I'm MG2 at the moment.

Also watching tutorials and videos can help, but it doesn't necessarily mean you're getting much out of them.
aim practice is far more important than watching tutorials for most people unless you can click heads it doesnt matter if you have big brain of karrigan

With a pistol I'd guess?
I'm sorry if I'm asking obvious stuff, but it's surprisingly hard to find this info online. I played 1.6 and Source when I was a kid. I remember most "pro" players sticking to 1.6 because Source lacked certain features (I think it was the way bullets penetrated thin walls and how recoil worked better in 1.6), and Source was looked down upon. Then Global Offensive came out and it seems everybody moved to this game. Quickly looking through some web pages, it seems GO has most features I've heard Source lacked 12 years ago - is that the case? Is Source still an okay game to play? What do you think? What's the "consensus" in your experience?
CZ/5-7 I like to switch between, but the tec9 is just too fucking good to switch out.
I'd rather have the extra ammo and clipsize. The CZ doesn't exactly provide an incredible increase in stats. Isn't CSGO player hitboxes now better fitting shapes and not only boxes ? Edit: yes

god damn it ferdam my merge
oh, i'm sorry bro
Those are updated btw. We don't uses boxes.
It's still relevant for comparison's sake. It shows that they at least toned them down from CS:S's even in the beginning.
Would the best NA team be 5 Stewies or 4 Stewies and a DaZeD?
Would the best NA team be 5 Stewies or 4 Stewies and a DaZeD?
It's interesting that Stewie manages to be the best on his team when he is IGLing to an extent, and he's a better AWPer than Ska because Ska isn't in form right now and hasn't been in years, I think that if DaZeD actually frags well and is in the form he was back when he was in iBP, the 4 Stewies and a DaZeD would win. 🤔🤔🤔

Honestly he's an interesting case. His team obviously believes in him and yet his problem seems to be a complete lack of confidence. He has the skills, and I'm sure he knows that, but yet he's found almost no success against the best teams in the world while his team stays afloat. If he clicks into place, C9 go from a team floating around the backend of tier 1 to a legitimate threat. Right now they don't really have structure but they're one superstar awper away from not needing it to beat anyone.

I'd find it very difficult to dispute the opinion that Stewie is the best player from North America currently.

His problem could be the lack of solid structure they had under Sean. And really just someone like Sean to tell him where to go.
I hear a lot from casters, analysts and pros analysing C9 that unlike Kenny or Guardian who will say "I want to take a peek in x place because I'm feeling that", Ska needs to be told by his IGL to go and do stuff and is far more prone to low confidence and passive play compared to the other two, and many other awpers like Allu who genuinely think they're the best AWP on any server.

I'm beginning to feel like i can guess my teams skill purely from their avatars
I'm beginning to feel like i can guess my teams skill purely from their avatars
I can do it with weeb avatars; either they're really shit or cheating.
People with outdated memes as avatar (harambe, shopped picture of Putin, Chiken etc.) always seem to be scraping the bottom, often with literally 0 calls throughout the match.
I'm beginning to feel like i can guess my teams skill purely from their avatars
csgo pro team avatar = total shitter
I have the best steam avatar. Best pro player guides my aim.
