Can someone explain why you would buy the Dual Elites on T-side when the Tec-9 exists?
Because two guns for price of one.
Also because this is the rank where you have not one but two people buy AUG no armor
Dual Elites raid boss shits on people.
I had an idea I'd like to submit to Valve regarding operations, or custom maps in general. I think that the way custom maps work is terrible. Because modders work their ass off to make a custom map. Most of them, despite being great maps, will never be played in multiplayer or for anything else than testing, because community servers will barely use them (and very unlikely so for the Competitive mode that the maps were made for), and Valve won't have them either. For a couple of lucky ones, Valve makes the maps part of an operation. That's great. People have fun for a couple of weeks/months, the author and his work get much recognition, it's perfect. Then the operation ends and we're back to a great map being completely ignored and unplayed by everyone despite its quality. Now what I would suggest for Valve to do is the following. 1° Check the most popular and wanted maps on the Workshop. 2° Playtest the custom maps to see if it's of good enough quality to be officially endorsed. 3° Add those maps, all of them, to a selection of maps that can be chosen when playing Competitive. Instead of choosing which maps you wanna play among the official and operation ones (that is to say, those present in the game by default), you have the possibility to toggle Workshop maps, which are clearly signaled in a different color or space. Server-side, all Valve has to do is download the maps they endorse and have them ready to be played on their servers like any other maps. Client-side, only the maps that the client has downloaded of his own initiative on the Workshop will appear in the list of maps to be selected. If you choose to play a Competitive game of a Workshop map, the server will have to find 10 people who also have the map downloaded, selected and want to play at this moment. Regarding XP: obviously you would win less XP for playing Workshop maps, because Valve still has to make the official maps seem like the better choice somehow. Regarding Overwatch: making Overwatch work on Workshop maps could get a bit complicated since it'll require the investigator to download the map, and any map's previous versions would also need to be available to download. Or make it with no Overwatch, with no penalties for leaving, and no XP gained. Cons: - Valve has a bit of setting up to do. - Valve would have to verify each update to a popular Workshop map. - Overwatch is a problem. - Without Overwatch, cheaters will also be a problem. Pros: - Everyone gets to play the maps they want in Competitive, at the sole condition that the map is popular on the Workshop. - Setting up the Workshop Competitive gamemode itself doesn't require much effort from Valve. - This would make talented modders feel much more appreciated for their work and effort. Reminder that right fucking now, mappers are starting to realize making high-quality maps aimed at Competitive in CSGO isn't worth it since they don't even know if Valve is still planning an operation. And even so, there's a slim chance that their map will make it in. I seriously feel like this is the way CSGO should be headed. Operations simply do not work in the long term. When Valve starts dropping support for CSGO, people will get bored of the few official maps in the game, very quickly. Tell me your opinion about this and tell me if I should contact Valve about this.
Can someone explain why you would buy the Dual Elites on T-side when the Tec-9 exists?
I drop either dual elites or tec9 for an armoured friend most pistol rounds and get myself a zeus and camp the shit out of some corner. Dual elites are pretty good when you're guaranteed the enemy has no head armor(like in pistol round) so in pistol round dual elites are superior if you know how to shoot them.
so, basically the same thing that 3kliksphilip is doing? I'm for that.

Pseudo-competitive matchmaking (comp gamerules, comp mm system, basically everything comp but you don't see your rank; this way there's a decently accurate matchmaking system but you're not worrying about losing rank) on workshop maps would be hella sweet imo. I know it'd make quite a few of my friends want to play more since they worry about rank too much and casual is, well, casual.

A team of decent players would probably wreck every other team every time. I'd rather have Workshop Competitive use normal Comp ranks to be honest. But obviously the outcome of a match wouldn't influence your chance to rank up or down.

It's still technically ranked but not "ranked".
Just some unranked competitive matchmaking would be great already. I don't know if others think like me but if I'm not worried about ranks I also don't care about balanced teams, I just wanna play some 5v5 with comp rules, matchmaking that you can't quit at anytime, also not necessarily worrying about tactics or doing your best. Should be just like Dota 2, there's unranked and ranked matchmaking.

Wasting 50 minutes of 9 peoples lives isn't very pleasant.

Well, in dota there's low priority which will match highly reported people to play against each other, could that work on CSGO ? Maybe valve considered something similar but didn't bring to the game because it's not gonna work, idk.
Back when I played dota it still pissed me off if people didn't try in unranked mm. Wasting 50 minutes of 9 peoples lives isn't very pleasant.
They could relax the rules a bit in "unranked", like allowing you to surrender even though no one abandoned.
They could relax the rules a bit in "unranked", like allowing you to surrender even though no one abandoned.
But people would just block the ff vote then?
Restarted playing CSGO yesterday cause I got my PC back. Havent played in 4-5 weeks and it feels good to be back, but I'm so extremely rusty, used to be better but I'm slowly getting my head back in the game which is good. [editline]10th February 2017[/editline] also fuck people who dont listen to strats in mm "ok guys rush a" *everyone stays back and bait each other and we lose the round*

The enemy team was trying to play normally up untill some point, and later they just gave up. Our team just dominated the match, despite being chill and not that much focused. It's the first time in a while i get a match like that too.

yes, those are pixels
Just lost a game because our bot went rogue with the bomb and pretty much gave them a deciding round. It was like a fucking circus fire in slow motion.
Just lost a game cos for some reason MM decided to put a silver IV into my game. :what:
Just lost a game cos for some reason MM decided to put a silver IV into my game. :what:
they were probably queued with someone you can queue an smfc acc with an mg2 one and get matched against le's consistently its how people used to farm global accs without cheats (obv with cheats they'd just spin every game)
yes, those are pixels
the camo of the m4 is working perfectly
honestly the number of people in low ranks who think anyone else who gets a few kills is a cheater is unreal. I'm not a good player by any stretch of the imagination but I think some games are MM are won before they even start because the other team doesn't have a 'can-do-better' attitude :v: [editline]11th February 2017[/editline] also people who have music coming out of their microphones man. silver/gold is where it's at.

Can you actually bypass the skill level difference cap if the person you queue with lost his rank?
