Well to be clear they didn't change the settings as the game went on; they played the whole thing like that. If it happens again I might raise it with the admins though, or at least the people who I know from the CS society there.

Rates are only enforced when you connect. After that you're able to change them, so they had to manually change them.

I don't know if I am marked for death or some shit but last 12-14 games I qued (solo) for - I got cancerous cunts on team and 300hr Zimbabwe/Uganda smurfs.
Last game: 4 German premades, one kept knifing air in spawn and hitting his team mates, last time he hit me - he got auto kicked for 30 min and added me on steam and spammed the shit out of me like: I hope you and everybody you know die in fire and general trolling shit like that.

From my limited experience, I think you have to be in spectator mode to change rates? At least that's what happens when I try to change my rates (to the 128 tick ones, because I'm a pleb and play on 64 tick settings) in DM. Might be a serverside setting?
jesus i've only gotten back into playing cs after a 2 year break. was mge before but i think they reworked the way ranked worked. got placed in the one below silver elite and have been climbing up slowly.
the players at this level are so ridiculous sometimes i wonder why they are bothering. the kind of players who buy an xm when they have the money for it but not enough for an ak, the kind that force buy on eco rounds the kinds of players who just cant land a shot with a rifle.
not having a mic is super frustrating as well and i need to get one asap.

Gold Nova and below is pure hell, you can never expect where the enmies are standing and then end up dying because you all rush expecting them to hold some corner but nope they just stand there in the middle of the bombspot and hold down their p90
I find LE way easier than the bullshit that is gold Nova two, that sounds so pathetic but it's just true

The UMP is awesome and all but the MP9 is incredibly accurate on the first few shots, it's like a mini blitzkrieg in the right hands.

The UMP can be used in rifle rounds pretty much like an m4 whereas the mp9 needs to be close range and is often one and done.

That just sounds like your aim is bad tbh. If a <MGE player is standing in the open and you're actually LE and not a boosted animal then you should be winning that aim duel 100% of the time.

i mean people who buy deagle on first round and only play deagle. doesnt matter if they are good with it or not because theres so many situations where they could have gone rifle and won fights.
the mp9 is an amazing anti eco gun but ump is really good for any round where you cant afford a top tier rifle.

Should be, which it usually is, but sometimes they're so unpredictable that you start questioning your main rank

I can agree with the first bit, but the MP9 isn't required to be at close range, it's still nicely accurate at the mid range at the least, however it's basically completely useless outside of short range if you can't consistently clunk people in the head like most who would be buying it.

Honestly, any player above Nova has at least decent aim, so I'd say they maybe win 1 out of 4 duels against an LE.

If you're giving people fair duels you're doing something horribly wrong at any level.

If you land a double dink then any gun short of the glock will look good. At those ranges there was a reasonable amount of luck involved in neither shot missing.

If I'm smurfing in silver/mg/nova I'll use the deag to make it fairer for everyone. Hell, once I went deagle only in a half and still got around 25-30 kill, in the half, 50ish total. [sp]we drew[/sp]
