They were really good maps released around or before the deadline.
OR, they were randomly updated around the same time with an update that makes no sense. This is usually a sign that valve contacted those map creators.

Yeah. IIRC they were all updated all at once a long ass time ago.
in my opinion - Agency should become non-operation map and be in map pool instead, I know it's not popular for tournaments etc.. but damn, it's one of my favorite maps.
Something about it just makes me always want to play it.
After playing Insertion for the first time, It's my new favorite map, the fox, the 45 minute sniper fight, the fact that I was actively calling strats on T side to prevent us from dying and ambush the other team, and the communication between my teammates.

I also noticed this when I was testing my co-op strike map, rather unfortunate for them to do this. There is still hope that they will reuse the gamemode in a future operation and fix it while doing so. For now I guess I'll have to try to find a way to disable heavy armour in a map.

it's because it's a freshly designed hostage map that is actually fun for a change and looks good
italy is great too but it gets old very quickly
I'm still a bit mad at Valve for not designing a better map pool system than what we have. We are confined to official and operation maps, and unofficial servers practically never use anything else either.
I just wish we could have some unofficial Competitive. After operations are done, all those great maps are practically impossible to play again.
And that's not even mentioning the dozens of great Workshop maps that never made it into an operation but would still be awesome playing.
I'd just like to play new maps when I feel like it, not when Valve tells me and limits my choice to half a dozen maps.

I couldn't agree more. The reintroduction of Agency and Black Gold has got me to reinstall for the first time in months
Also quick q, is it worth buying into the op?
Only thing I'm really really dissappointed in this OP is that the duo queues are a weekly event.

Never mind, it seems like they have already fixed it by disabling the heavy assault suit, and they even disabled it from the "heavy phoenix" enemies...
Are bot difficulty based on the mm rank? The bots are overpowered as fuck when they have a p90 or a shotgun

For some reason, downloading this update just causes disk write errors and fucks my entire computer up. Guess I won't be experiencing this.

pretty sure they're not, but when the bots have a gun that only requires them to fire in your general vicinity bot-aim isn't really punishing them.

Try installing the game to anywhere other than the default steam folder
I had a similar problem with another game a while back

You sure the drive is alright? Can't be only steam causing it
But if it actually is only steam, try clearing the download cache and restarting the computer. It fixed update problems for me

Flying Scoutsman works good. The other modes are just a bit bleh though. And you only mostly get a rotation of the Flying Scoutsman and Zap Zap stab or whatever game mode as well.

We've always been able to since wildfire? Excluding the previous day when the gamemode was broken.

I think the bots AI difficulty differs from mission to mission. When doing the 10 SSG headshot kills mission they were pretty much lobotomised and I was able to do it first try, but when doing the 15 AK kills on inferno I got 1-tapped several times and even pre-fired by them (fuck that bot with the SG)

Inferno mission is bot_difficulty 2 (and I'm going to assume all of the red ones are too). Which is hard bots who will lobotomize the shit out of you unless you play cleanly and correctly (which people wont since AYY BOTS LOL). The other ones are bot_difficulty 1 which is "medium" and iirc MM bots are bot_difficulty 0 which is what it sets itself to after you lose 3 times.
You can check by just typing bot_difficulty in the console when the mission starts and it'll tell you what they're set to.
