Stuff that you Love in TF2: Facepunch is still GODLIKE edition - Games

One thing I love about TF2 is how the mod/skin making community for the most part are all in agreement on the things that make up the TF2 art style and art theme and mod according to it relatively strictly. I recently got in CS:S and took a trip over to the CS:S side of gamebanana to see what kind of sprays/guis/etc were available. I have never seen such a non-cohesive bunch of CoD backgrounds, half naked people, and pot leaves in my life time. And the first thing I though was "What does this have to do with terrorists and counter terrorists" Then it hit me. The TF2 community is special, there has to be at least a semblance of coherence to the game world in it's mods and such. CS:S, at least the GB side, is literally 12 year old tweenager land full of naked women, weed, and other things deemed substantially "cool" while not actually relating to the game AT ALL. And it made me love TF2's modding community even more for being so consistent compared to others.

its not that tf2 modding stays in tune with the game. its that gamebanana is filled with "joke mods" for everything, and everyone agrees on them. case in point, fempyros.

I always try to compliment people on particularly good kills or pushes in TF2, including those by people on the opposing team. I hope that brightens people's game experience. I can imagine (and I know all too well) how many salty players with mics people run into, so someone has to try to offset that.

For every fempyro or hyper realistic texture skin, there are 400,000 weed, tits, and edgy CS skins/guis/sprays/ETC.

Shoutout to all the pyros that try to juggle me so they can hit some sort of combo in situations where it'd be 10x more effective to just burn me to death, I don't even know how many times that sort of behavior has allowed me to escape alive :v:

I love how some cosmetics (or lack of) are so ignored that they actually become unique and stand out more. case in point ; scout's stock hat, the hardy laurel on soldier, a non-beard heavy and alot more.

Most of the comments I've gotten about my unusual Carouser's Capotain is just how nobody ever wears the hat.

People seem to think it's sorcery when I burn them to death in 1 second. Pyro has a minigun that has no spinup or movement impairments with the only downside of being short range. Why don't people use it?

These guns when shot at a member of an opposing team, will, in fact, deal damage. If one person in this situation did not have a weapon, this would be unfair. However, both people involved (here it comes folks) have a gun. And these aren't poor down trodden people (kittens, perhaps), these are normal jagoffs like you and me who are playing a video game. And if someone is forcing them to play the game or even stay on that server, then damn, sorry dude. It's just like "Oh no, a heavy. It's not like we can stay in here for 40 seconds behind this wall that so graciously covers us and allows us to fire projectiles faster than the heavy can deal fatal damage, become bulletproof, get that motherfucker, and proceed with our day. Guess we're just as helpless as kittens since that mean heavy took all our guns"
