Airblasting phlog pyros while spamming the "no" command, too. Really anything that punishes phlog pyros is pretty great.
But that actually helps them? Unless you pushthem into a corner/cliff
And thanks to particle physics you're going to get crit flames in the face
But that actually helps them? Unless you pushthem into a corner/cliff
No, you come at them from the side and just keep them disoriented. They can't do anything to you and you just keep juggling them until they run out of ammo or your teammates kill them.

why wouldn't that crit pyro shoot flames at you?
why wouldn't that crit pyro shoot flames at you?
Because I'm on a valve server and phlog pyros on valve servers are rarely good at the whole pointing at you thing. It's not uncommon to be able to 1v1 a spun up heavy as an engineer, they're so bad at aiming.
Having a soldier accidentally rocket jumping into my crit phlog.

but aiming as heavy and aiming as a phlog pyro are two comepletely different things. a single swing from the critboosted phlog will slice your life in half, while a regular minigun barrange still leaves room for your to maneuver.
saying it was on a valve server makes it being a phlog pyro completely irrelevant as well. that pyro could had been using anything and id still make no difference since we're agreeing people on valve servers cant kill anything if not by luck.
I went to do a skip jump and had a scout run under me and into my rocket [sp]It was even a random crit[/sp]
Soldiers fire more rockets at you when you're a hatless pyro.
Soldiers fire more rockets at you when you're a hatless pyro.
maybe I shouldn't have discarded my gibus
Soldiers fire more rockets at you when you're a hatless pyro.
wear the 2009 gibus with pride.
bathe in the ignorance of those who don't know what status it gives to you.
I've actually wanted to just wear the gibus like that from time to time, but then I remembered I traded it to someone who was collecting them.
That reminds me, I saw a Ghastly Gibus the other day. Not a Ghastlierest one, not a Ghostly one, but a Ghastly Gibus. Was kind of interesting.
I got my first donation (£30) for my servers today, yay!
Already used most of it for putting up a new box for a custom map server and a proper domain name.
The proof of purchase is the best all class hat.

I used it to craft it into a bread box, and it wasn't even worth it in the end.
I went onto a server today, which is normally filled with really good players who would wreck your shit without breaking a sweat, and I did really good and felt good about it.

I did that with the Ellis' cap. Now I kinda wish I didn't.
Knockback is actually a really fun mechanic. In most games getting hit with that kind of damage either kills you outright (ESPECIALLY explosives), or they even slow you down. It never gets old to bounce people around even when you don't kill them, and it allows for the most badass way of escaping a sticky situation too - surfing the attack(s) to safety.

R.I.P. Sallet.
You were a casualty of a bad mistake.

If I see a Demo coming at me as a lone Heavy, Medic or Engie, I start jumping at them in hopes of riding that sticky knockback wave of melee crit glory. Thank you glorious cartoon logic explosions.

one of the many reasons why the fan, airblast, loose cannon and scorch shot need to do damage knockback

Airblast just needs to do regular knockback and not pre-baked knockback that's the same every time, but that has been said a million times :v:
Cannon Jumping is amazing
cannon-jumping so dangerous, though. You just don't have the hit points to use it often enough. I honestly don't see the advantage over just using a sticky.
its not worth it at all.
It's less risky if you have a medic though.
