Buffed Big Earner Spy is so amazing. I was almost able to live with it pre-buff, but now it's just such a beautiful thing and since everyone pre-mettle mained a bunch of crutches I'm the best Spy in the server each time.
notice how they stayed away from giving spy extra speed any way whatsoever for as long as they could with reason. this is pretty much as bad as giving demoman a bullet gun
The tide-turner is fun again.
Had a game where the majority of the enemy team was Heavy and it really showcased how strong the Vaccinator can be against class stacking. The Uber sound effect still sounds like a heavily distorted Engineer laugh to me though so that's still weird.
The box is an even better disguise if for some reason you have the red box despite being in BLU. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/450707476756616972/FB062E3A20EAB35C4FE875B864B7C0150978F6EA/[/t] Yes, RED team knew I had the taunt before.
I love how all these weapons have been changed, but have not been made overpowered or weak. Deadringer? Still incredibly viable, but you'll die in one shot to a half-charged headshot, crocket, backstab, and crit grenade even with it out and at full health. No longer completely a get-out-of-jail card, and now you have to be smart about decloaking because of the set time. Big Earner? Well, that was a straight buff. You'll still die in one shot to a grenade or a rocket at close range though, so I wouldn't call this weapon overpowered. Vaccinator? It requires much more skill to use now, but once that skillcap is reached, I'm pretty sure a medic will now have, to put it simply, complete dominion against the enemy team. It doesn't take longer than 2 seconds to kill another player with decent aim or to hurt them badly enough that they will die quickly from other teammates, including by those pesky random crits. Vaccinator allows the medic to ensure the survival of the teammate. FOUR TEAMMATES. At the SAME TIME. It's difficult to use (uber charges incredibly slowly since you'll mostly be overhealing people unless the teams are stacked), but if you get really good at it, able to quickly change resistances to the one the teammate is fighting at that very moment, give him the bubble, and to also give 3 other people bubbles of the resistance to whatever they're fighting, you'll basically make your team invincible. Incredibly powerful, but it requires incredible skill to use.
deadringer speed bonus is still way too much. hopefully i'd be reduced to half that time/speed, because spies can basically reach the other end of 2fort bridge in a blink after feing death.
I played MVM and won an Australium Scattergun. Sold it for 50 quid! Now I can fund MVM tickets for months
New Big Earner is goddamned amazing, great for chainstabs or for quick getaways edit: Also koth_suijin is the new best koth map, I love it
New Big Earner is goddamned amazing, great for chainstabs or for quick getaways edit: Also koth_suijin is the new best koth map, I love it
I had pretty low expectations of suijin, but it and powerhouse turned out to be the better maps for the update. Borneo and Snowplow are just so.. red slanted it's not funny. I have not seen blu get a victory in snowplow or borneo without it being a steamroll.
Suijin is pretty meh IMO. Snipers have a direct view of the point from their spawn. Had a couple of pretty good matches on Borneo and Snowplow. It's kinda hard to call them unbalanced atm simply because the update has brought a bunch of people out of the woodwork and frankly not all of them are what I would call "competent".

There's also those silly "out of bounds" rocks that people like to stand on, and then cry like little babies when you shoot them. Borneo is pretty great. cp_hydro.. I mean, power-whatever it's called has one of the most insane chokepoints I've ever seen (the rocky cave passage from mid to lobby), but at least there's an alternate route. And already had a very counter strike-esque moment where I engaged the enemy as a scout, and after firing off all my 6 shots I noticed a scattergun on the ground. I picked it up, and the 5 shots it had in it let me finish the enemies off :v:
Box Trot + Big Earner is the best thing ever, chain stabs were never this good.
the scorch shot gibs now and it's so satisfying
When a Valve server's members coordinate contract farming and efficiently kick anyone killing people. I mean I don't really support cheating the system, but I like to see people working as a team like this.

A simple pleasure that I found today was finishing a third contract on Suijin and receiving a Powerhouse case that I sold for about $7, and with some left over money that I had in my Steam wallet I managed to get a weapon to surpass Metal Gear. Now I can quietly sing "Nuclear" while crawling around with the Box Trot. It's a simple pleasure, but often the simple pleasures are all that we can rely on.
I am really loving the ability to pick up weapons. For Medic especially as dropping an Über/Kritz/Quick-Fix/Vaccinator charge doesn't mean that it is gone as long as there is another Medic around.
Some guy from this forum remembered me and kept telling me, "WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO THE EMPORIUM AND KEEP MAKING THOSE SOUND MODS" as some hilariously obscure form of smack talk. I totally try to smack talk people in a friendly way - just little teasing, usually coupled with me obviously joking about my "amazing skills". I only turn into an asshole when people throw their weight around as some sort of supreme TF2 player and can't chill out (overcomplaining), or go overboard with "umadbro/lennyface/etc". When people play along I legitimately laugh and I wish more people went along with it.
I played Sniper on Ghost Town and explosive headshots just destroy everything. One fully charged headshot against a giant kills nearly everything around it.
playing scout on turbine with a quickfix medic pocketing me, i dont even know him either we proceeded to dominate the whole server. I'd take a bullet for that dude
Holy fuck the Natascha damage resistance is so good, i just had a last stand on the 2_fort bridge, and i got 18 kills before i finally died from after-burn.
Loving the increased jump height on Scorch Shot. Now I can jump all over the place without having a 1/3 of my health gone which is the case with the Detonator.
Loving the increased jump height on Scorch Shot. Now I can jump all over the place without having a 1/3 of my health gone which is the case with the Detonator.
didn't the recent update just nerf that
didn't the recent update just nerf that
Doesn't seem to change anything.
Nope. Its still the same. This is what Scorch is capable of now. [vid]http://webm.host/5b000/vid.webm[/vid] [vid]http://webm.host/4c701/vid.webm[/vid] EDIT: This is old webms, I didnt realize they nerfed it when making this post. Scorch cant do this anymore it seems like. :(
Oh I just saw the latest update. Scorch shot sucks for jumping now. Detonator kinda does too, but you can still jump with it kinda.
The amount of times people have ignored the box were worth the $7.99 I spent on this. It helps too because it hides the Spy's silhouette so players don't automatically react when they see a normal looking box. If you played the MGS series or Prop Hunt, then it helps to know where to hide, which is usually next to some map props and in an area where you aren't easily seen.
Day 5: the enemy still does not know that i am here: [t]http://puu.sh/iQhDf.jpg[/t]
I love using big earner now. I love running around and just stabbing real fast, moving from target to target or sapping a whole nest in less than a second. It really suits my style. I do die alot due to running around like a retard and due to -25 hp, but damn is it worth it.
