i brought a direct hit to hightower i genuinely had fun
It's pretty fun in general when a bunch of soldiers just decide to play king of the hill on top of the tower. At least until that one guy gets upset that the other soldiers actually use their rocket launchers to deal damage.
Soldier is easy mode on Hightower. I play Demoknight, and love it.
I've never understood the appeal of having multiple unusuals if it means wearing a complete mess of ugly, clashing cosmetics to do it.
I'd say best plan is to wear your 1 unusual, then match remaining cosmetic slots to the same theme. Not very easy however when you want multiple clashing cosmetics, but I think they care more about the effect than the cosmetic itself.
Completing a jump map as a heavy with a shotgun and a grappling hook is some satisfying shit
No Australium but when you drop a little buddy named Robro after finishing a mission is super satisfying.
Bought this lil' thing off the market. Quite happy with it. [t]http://puu.sh/jXWsC/b1bd831299.jpg[/t] Also bodyshotting a Demo who's about to do a sticky jump with full charge just to watch him blow himself up never stops being funny for me.
I"m torn between saving up for an australium rifle or a stattrak unusual one.
I"m torn between saving up for an australium rifle or a stattrak unusual one.
Whatever you'd like more imo
That's exactly it, they're both cool.
I"m torn between saving up for an australium rifle or a stattrak unusual one.
As someone who's used both, I preferred the unusual. However, It's much more expensive and skins aren't available in any competitive formats yet (not on the whitelist). If i were you i'd decide if there's any sniper rifle skin you like first.
As of now, Night Owl. Let's see if they release more though.
Everyone and their moms has an Aussie Sniper nowadays. Getting an unusual Sniper Rifle in the skin you want with the effect you want just makes it feel so much more personalized.
Honestly I want a S. Festive RL more than an Aussie or unusual one.
I really would love myself a Prof Blood Botkiller Minigun, but as this is not "Post your dream items" thread. I better put in some content, eh? Anyways, content: I love making friendlies go back to fighting instead of sitting infront of our spawn inside the goddamn box.
I love joining a borneo server, being put on attackers, then seeing that our team is only just after the first checkpoint and has 1 minute left, and no medics. I love going medic, and suddenly our team is actually doing something. We ended up winning (because of me imo) Don't mean to sound cocky and on a high horse, but honestly you need a medic on your team. Seriously, after going medic our team actually could make it to the cart without dying.
Successfully defending my sentry against an ubered demo pushing to the intel. We had 3 sentries and 2 dispensers in the room for some reason and I was the only one who was able to successfully keep my sentry alive and kill the medic and demo. Goddamn, it's a fucking great feeling when something like that happens. Shit like this is why I continue to play engineer despite how frustrating the class can be.
Getting kills with the Half-Zatoichi. It's so fucking satisfying.
I saw many videos about really good snipers and I always said to myself that I would never reach this skill level. But then when I'm on a server with a good ping somehow I can become an insane sniper, make thousands of quickscopes on absolutly every class, basically good at a point where I almost find legitimate that half of the enemy team tries to votekick me for hacking. Not your average Valve F2P pubber, but skilled players with unusuals above 1000 hrs. I also love to snipe in Mannpower, using the grappling hook I literally made a 360 degrees headshot on a flying guy while being myself airborne. Speaking of Mannpower, Direct hit is jsut so satisfying to use when you airshot everyone consistently. TLDR I think I'm bad but actually I'm really good at this game
I've been running into less shitheads than usual it seems. Either they're getting bored with TF2 or Gun Mettle brought back enough people to saturate the player base a bit.
I've been running into less shitheads than usual it seems. Either they're getting bored with TF2 or Gun Mettle brought back enough people to saturate the player base a bit.
Well, CoD BO3 Beta was released not long ago so...
I also love to snipe in Mannpower, using the grappling hook I literally made a 360 degrees headshot on a flying guy while being myself airborne
This stuff is actually really fun. Was on a mario kart server yesterday with low-ish gravity and grappling hooks and for me it just turned into a dogfighting simulator. Delightfully silly, and pretty tricky as well :v:
When people on Valve servers try to vote kick me when I'm playing as a half-zatoichi demo.
Watching two pyros trying to kill each other with flamethrowers
They're a clan/community that hosts a whole bunch of servers. I've personally had to blacklist a lot of theirs, because the find-a-server function would always try to put me in them over and over again, even when I immediately and repeatedly leave because I don't want to play on them. Overall I've had very poor experiences on their servers - a lot of offensive jerks just spamming voicechat about the most random bullshit, blatant racism and homophobia, and admins that turn a blind eye to aimbotters and such who wear their clan tag.
That's really sad to hear. I was recommended Skial when I first started playing and had really good experiences on it well into 2013-14. I'd been meaning to go back, but these days I'm always playing on Valve servers to get contract points. I have some really fond memories of interesting voice chats and kind veterans helping out people. Two that stand out in particular is a voice chat where the group got into a discussion about the morality nuance of euthanasia and meaning of morality, and another where everyone on both sides tried to cheer up on mic and chatbox someone who was feeling down. For positivity, I always love finding decent Heavy players. Especially the type who work to protect their healer and give out sandwiches. As a Medic player, it's the optimal point of playing for me.
Medieval with third person + Rules of Nature + Katana Demoman = The closest I will be to playing MGR Revengeance . Holy bananas it was a really good round and all that juicy adrenaline on my brain was perfect.

People who use I. green instead of lime, also playing medic has been enjoyable for me recently
I recently stopped using Mouse Acceleration due to getting a new mouse. Playing sniper is like a dream now! I didn't really get how it could help, but I've been getting headshots far more consistently than ever before!
You know what i still love about TF2? The voice acting. Demo, Medic and heavy have such ridiculously unique voices, but are so perfectly fitting i can't imagine any other voice coming out of them, nor could i imagine the voices working anywhere else, genuine perfection.
Also bodyshotting a Demo who's about to do a sticky jump with full charge just to watch him blow himself up never stops being funny for me.
Or shooting a soldier in midair and watching him fly out of sight, only to get a weirdly satisfying crater death message a few seconds later. Something about the fact that they can do literally nothing just makes it all the better, bonus points if it's an amby headshot that seals it
