With the latest bug patch, I decided to check the Marketplace and see how much all the new cosmetics were going for. I got the Thrilling Tracksuit out of a crate and still had a spare Gargoyle Ket sitting in my inventory. I only really wanted three items out of these crates, all of them Mercenary Grade: The Thrilling Tracksuit, El Patron, and the Prehistoric Pullover. Each of those items is on the Marketplace for less than $2; once this Gargoyle Key sells, I'll have everything I wanted out of this update, cosmetics-wise, for the price of two keys. I guess the Tier system works out if you just want the common items; their prices plummet within a day of the update, meaning that you can usually swoop in and get a bunch of stuff for a pittance, compared to testing your luck with keys. [editline]30th October 2015[/editline] Aaaaaand the key sold. Yeah, I have literally every cosmetic I wanted out of this update and all it cost me is 2 Keys. The Marketplace is super groovy sometimes.

batt backup is just the most beautiful underated, underused piece of item in this very game conch and buff just can't reach the legendary level where pumpkin crit spam do ~40 damage to you

Battalion backup is a rare enough sight that I'm starting to think people forget on just how great having that damage resistance is. Even more rarely do I ever see anyone properly pushing/coordinating during a battalion charge. (I messed up trying to edit this post twice ; ;)

Maybe it's your hat.

I really hope they are gonna add normal versions of the halloween maps after the event because all of the new ones are pretty solid, worst probably being the pl_millstone and mostly because it's a clusterfuck of Halloween bosses and background noise. Also that stupid cart stun on RED. But otherwise I really do enjoy these maps.

It's silly, and I totally understand people not liking it, but there's just something about it that makes it one of my favorite all-class items.

someone here said to use battalions backup in halloween maps negating crits during a critfest event is so good monoculus can't do shit pumpkin/underworld crits don't do shit reserve shooter and crit flares don't do shit plain old random crits. don't. do. shit. rediscovering old items is what i love

Mannpower is pretty damn fun

TF2 Halloween. Always a time full of fun and joy, always with a new map and something fun to do. The hilarious costumes, and the fun to play against bosses. It really is amazing, and probably the #1 reason why I stick by the game.

Holy shit, I think I just experienced the luckiest moment I've ever had in this game. Some of my friends who are mods on a server group were holding these loadout contests for every class, and I got first place in the Scout one (Winners were barred from entering any of the other contests though). Two of the rewards were just some cosmetics, but the third was a [b]Factory New[/b] Night Terror. Later on, they were doing some random raffles, and I won probably the second most valuable item in there, a [b]Thunderbolt[/b] (Battle Scarred, but still). Goddamn tonight was a good night.

During the Minicrits overwriting Crits bug 2 days ago a friend and I went to a 100% Crit Low Grav orange server and beat everyone to death with Escape Plan + Rocket Jumper.
