The fact I haven't got any dupes in transmutations just makes me happy. As well a higher success of haunted quality
Last Scream Fortress I bought a Distinct lack of Hue painted item for about 5 ref and traded it for a Strange Haunted Forgotten King's Restless Head. I just sold the head for $22 off the market
I USED MINE FOR A HALLOWEEN TRANSMUTE. GODDAMMIT.
I USED MINE FOR A HALLOWEEN TRANSMUTE. GODDAMMIT.
To be fair it would've taken an eternity to sell. But why would you transmute a tradable item into something you can't trade at all?
I've been using this loadout since the update hit, got the King's pauldron from a transmute a few days after halloween, what a good fuckin set
I could have just gotten the Crone's Dome and I would have been happy, but getting it in a quad drop? Sign me up!

I play this game for shit like this to be fair, i was aiming pretty good in that match. i didn't even let him touch the ground at one point
I just have to say, I love truces so much. I remember playing Eyeduct and Ghost fort when they first came out and there was always that one asshole griefing and messing up fighting Merasmus. It made the boss battles really frustrating and ruined the enjoyment of many a game. I just wish they'd done it earlier, but it's steps in the right direction, I guess. (I low-key wonder if this means bosses will be coming back in another update, since they taking steps to make boss fighting better)
I've spent every truce doing the conga on the capture point while everyone else fights the boss. They still killed the boss and I got around eight players total from both teams just dancing on the cap while we wait to go back to murdering each other
At first I was a little iffy about the truces, but I've come to really like them. Unless I've got a contract to fulfill, I usually just end up dicking around playing Rock Paper Scissors with people and forming people towers and junk. Of course then I strategically position myself right outside the enemy spawn once the truce ends :v:
As an Engineer main, truces can either be the best thing in the world for me or the worst thing. It's the worst thing when the other team has a spy on it that knows that sapping during truce is the most annoying thing ever for them to do. It's the BEST thing, however, when you manage to set up a teleporter and sentry near the enemy spawn. The sentry never lasts long, but I'll usually get a fair amount of Revenge Crits for it, assuming I switched to my Level 3 Offense Engineer during the truce. And I notice that a lot of people tend not to destroy Teleporters for whatever reason, so that can stay up for quite some time.
I recently tried using my own team's spies as human shields as a scout. I'd follow them around and stay behind them, and when the enemy would shoot at me it would mostly hit the spy instead. It actually worked about 5 times too... until the spies on my team figured out what I was doing. I know I'm going to hell for that but it was pretty funny watching them die under cloak. And it did get me way behind enemy lines for some nice surprise attacks.
Here's a touching story... I while ago I ran into a young player on Hightower (Valve server). He found out that I owned a Black Rose (I obtained it legitimately) and asked me to trade it to him, which is impossible. In fact, when I added him as a friend, he was desperate. He couldn't install Alliance of Valiant Arms nor use SAM due to country restrictions. He wanted that knife so much that he was ready to give me his account access so I could unlock it. I refused and later found a solution. I made him install step by step a mod to replace the stock Knife by the Black Rose. I've never seen such a happy person, if happiness can be mesured with smileys in chat. Today, he's still on my Friend list.
I don't think any other games makes it as fun to wait to respawn. Probably because of all the goofy shit you witness during your 10-20 second timeout. Sometimes it's a derpy pyro fight, sometimes it's an awkward butterknifing contest between two spies, sometimes it's some guy pulling off an unbelievable/unbelievably lucky kill. Always something happening :v:
The best thing is when you spectate a F2P hurtling towards grave danger, like a push, a sentry, or towards a cliff, and you respawn just moments before he dies and you just see it in the killfeed.
The best I recall, just seen it today in fact, was spectating a sniper doing his thing. An enemy soldier rounded the corner, crouched and walked a good 10 meters and sat right beside him, equipping, reloading and alt charging up his Mangler while looking up at him "All ya bloody heads look twelve feet tall!" "YES." Sniper quickly unscopes and looks down and left at the soldier for a split moment before both get blown to shit for about 3 frames before I respawn
Stabbed down a heavy while using steam controller, then trickstabbed the medic who came at me with his ubersaw. The best thing is that I pretty much just stood still and turned 180 degrees between the stabs since I haven't yet gotten around to tweaking the controller. This must be how those gibus spies who facestab you feel.
I once saw in the respawn timer camera, a soldier killed a demoman with their rocket launcher, and the demo's body flew upwards at this one sniper on Upward. This scared the sniper who jumped backwards because he must have thought it was an enemy, and started to fall off the edge of the map (around the area of second point). He landed on a disguised spy though and got backstabbed.

After the end of the Halloween event, I wanted to tidy my backpack. I deleted a couple of restricted items and ended up with a Voodoo JuJu (Slight Return), a hat for the Demo that can be worn all year. As it didn't fit any of my loadout I decided to Giftapult it. As a result I have a happy new player as a new friend.
I got a scarecrow, voodoo juju slight return and a bonedelier from Halloween. Thanks Nolan North witch guy.
THAT PYRO IS A BLOODY sentry. HAHAHAHAHA- *dead*
Shit you wish you had recorded 101.
Another reason I wish replays are enabled on Valve servers
Another reason I wish replays are enabled on Valve servers
They're enabled, they're just broken. (Unless they actually dropped support for them.)
Back when the halloween maps were still in rotation, I was on the new sniper batts across from the BLU forward spawn as a RED soldier. I had just killed a scout on the batts and he dropped a crit pumpkin. Though I was far enough away that rockets took a full 2-3 seconds to hit the spawn door, I hit the tab key and saw one or two dead players, though I had no idea when they'd spawn. I waited another second or two, picked up the crit pumpkin, and fired 3 rockets at the BLU spawn. I started walking away, looking for more prey, and wouldn't you know it, a few seconds later I get a crit kill in my killfeed. I can only imagine that guy's reaction to spawning, walking over to the door, getting instantly splattered, and then seeing in the deathcam his cause of death is faffing about halfway across the map.
Recently discovered how easy and fun MvM becomes as engineer when you aren't gluing yourself to your sentry's ass with Upgrade canteens filled to the brim. It turns out a Lvl1 Sentry with a mobile shotgunning engi can be 3x more effective than a single lvl 3 with a jag-wacking engi in tow. :v:
Oh yeah I forgot to show what I got my halloween box this year. [T]http://i.imgur.com/KlcwKYM.jpg[/T] [sp]I actually just wanted the Thrilling Tracksuit, but oh well.[/sp] I also sent Merasmus a letter with with some halloween crap on it to show my gratitude. [T]http://i.imgur.com/LFsnnAP.jpg[/T] And he sent me a bird head for Heavy!

Brass beast is so nice against sentry nests. Was playing on dustbowl (I know, shame on me) 2nd stage, and their final had 3 level 3 nests. Jumped in with a vaccinator bubble and basically just destroyed all of them by staring at them while their engineers frantically tried to wrench their sentries.
