Stuff that you Love in TF2: Facepunch is still GODLIKE edition

when you run horrible loadouts and you manage to get kills with it, then people rage-switch to your exact loadout but the joke's on them because it's useless so they can't get anything done and they go back to what they were. (for example bootieknight against good people)
When I queue with a stack, we often run shitty class compositions and loadouts to the prefight with no hats on to lull the enemy team into a false sense of security before the round starts. I quite enjoy making them expect 1 or 2 spies the whole round without ever actually running one in match.
The fact I've yet to encounter a team in MM where no one wants to play medic. I honestly expected this to be a big problem, but a lot of the time you get 1-2 or maybe more people go med right away.
It makes me happy tbh

I wanted to practice Medic for matchmaking because I thought I'd be forced to run him as everyone fights to be 4th soldier or their right to play Huntsman Sniper but actually almost every game I've had some great medics and I end up more often than not going Soldier or Scout.
I finally discovered how good the Kunai can be in pubs with DR. it's very exciting to be on the verge of death and then recover with a stab at the last second.
I haven't used the current DR much since the nerf, so its weird not being able to tank amounts of dmg I'm used to, I pretty much have to have DR open at start with the kunai as if I put it up at second hit with some weapons its too late and its too much dmg for it to handle.

When they rage over random crits. It still makes me laugh.
when people bitch at my brassbeast and then I gently remind them that it's basically the worst primary in the game.

The Classic exists.
the classic doesnt turn you into a totem of pain the moment you try to engage opponents at your supposed optimal range.
you're still a sniper far away from danger able to one shot things. just really slowly
There is a worse primary than Brass Beast though, atleast in my opinion
That being Baby Face's Blaster, of course.
Anyway, content:
Even though I am pretty good with pipes nowadays, I still find joy in landing a good pipe. Nothing like smacking a pipe into a Demo N Med combo and watching them both blow up and lose their über.
crafting hats and getting a good result
i crafted a tough stuff muffs a week ago and a rump o' lantern today
yeah, i know crafting is wasting metal or w/e but it's fun to do sometimes
[editline]31st March 2016[/editline]
i also crafted a merc's muffler once, i still have it and love it
I saw an enemy Demoman laying his stickies on the last point of 5cp_granary, I thought "maybe if I touch the point but keep away from his stickies explosive range, he will detonate them and I will cap" so I move closer to the point. Then he decides to jump to the point and kill himself with his stickies as I was running away from them. I capture while both of us write shit in the chat about what happened"
You just gotta love this game
I had the same Unusual as some guy in matchmaking!

One of my dream drops happened a few years back where I got a Team Captain from a random drop.
While now I a mere unique TC as only a hat the poor and irish would wear considering all the crazy shit I own now I still have that TC and will never plan on selling it. It's just too perfect.

The Brass Beast is great since the last buff, I don't know what you guys are talking about. Even the tomislav is probably worse now.
Nah. The tomislav still has mobility and the ability to jump up on somebody. the damage bonus doesn't really effect DPS when you're super up close.

a gun that doesn't even allow you to respond to encounters just because you didn't feel like moving at 10 units/sec for a couple moments is garbage no matter how you look at it. Sure you can still rev up a minute earlier and get cool kills since it's a minigun with more damage, but damage comes in many more forms such as actually pushing enemy lines back, reacting fast to whats coming and actually trying to avoid spam coming in your way.
If even the tomislav is awkward and crap at trying to chase people with, brassbeast should just make your game crash and you'd probably have a bigger impact that way.
not to mention the extra damage is unecessary in 80% cases since stock decimates things pretty fast at zero inconvenience regardless.
You could remove one of the two giant downsides of the beast and it'd still be considered terrible by most.
And just trying to shoot things marks you as a free backstab even to the most clueless spy players. At least with stock you can reposition fast enough to respond to spies.
The damage resis is like 45 more imaginary health in the long run. It's nothing when almost every gun does 100 damage a hit.
that said I love the BB since it really forces you to aim perfectly or die. It's my baby pet for MvM aswell.

I once thought about Brass Beast getting an accuracy bonus for it's worsened ability to re-position, but Tomislav got that for some reason, so fuck that idea.
What negative attribute(s) would you remove from the weapon though? I'd probably take away the movement speed reduction when revved up. Though everyone would probably do that.
if you want it to actually compete against good people, slower spin-up is the one to remove. Although heavy mains will probably still prefer stock since rev-walking is just really that good.

why would you not love that :v:

Because he's a Medic.
The Medic may be smiling because of the reward, but in his head, he's thinking: "Fucking Heavy got another piece of gold, what do I have besides a hat leaking radioactive fumes.".
finally caught up with the taunts

burstchester was a pain cos it's not worth the price, had no choice
I love going into offline mode and setting all bots on both teams, as well as myself as Spy and battle it out, whilst blaring La Marseillaise in the background
Been a while since I've been here.
Something I enjoyed a bit was the twist behind Gray Mann's sudden death. While it's disappointing such an impressive mastermind such as himself was killed off, now we get to see some true Classic vs. New action full front and center.
Yeah, we totally got to know the character behind the classic pyro, spy, and demo.

Who?
There's something freeing and clean feeling about playing TF2 with no mods at all.
