I killed another Demoman with a roller yesterday, not a direct hit mind you, a roller. We both were crazy about it in the chat for 3 minutes, he even called me "Roller Baller" until he left.

It's absurdly common.
since when were roller kills ever special
Sorry but how is killing anyone with a roller cause for any measure of celebration? It's absurdly common.
so is dropping a hat but that doesn't stop the 20x winners every single time
I guess people are so used to direct hits, I don't know. It just felt stupid enough for us to go nuts about it at that time :v:
I got the Tartan Spartan achievement (1 million points of blast dmg as demo)

It isnt mainly TF2 related but not owning Overwatch has made me really appreciate Team fortress 2 the more I think about it. It brings back the genuine love I have for the game and have had ever since I got into it and just realizing this makes me worry less about ever having to own Overwatch just because my friends have it.
Crushing that lmaobox heavy on the other team by using the vaccinator then winning... Feels so good
frontierjustice Still use it since day 1. shitting crits on soldiers demos getting mad over your sentry is the best feeling in the world. Bonus points for the FJ because it hasn't been rotten to death by valve's touch unlike other less fortunate unlocks. i feel like a special snowflake since nobody seems to use it nowadays (even less so without minis)
I'm garbage at Sniper so it's rare I do anything interesting. It makes me happy when this type of thing happens.
I got accused of aimbotting... As a Sniper. I mean, he is probably the class I cannot do jack-shit with. Yet this guy was seriously accusing me of aimbotting, going as far to tell me "I am missing cause I don't want to be kicked" when he spectated me. A.k.a I love being accused of aimbotting as a class I am not good at, same goes for Scout and Spy.

Your team loses, but you manage to stay alive in humiliation through a combo of map knowledge and dodging. Iunno, it's a nice silver lining feeling.
I love everyone going batshit insane around here whenever anyone utters the word "neato" The fucking anger at this word is hilarious
I love the matchmaking playerbase. They don't tell you to kill yourself every match, they don't abandon, and they certainly don't get salty about literally anything.
When I get a random crit and kill a spy with it.
My team and I defended Gravelpit without losing A or B. That was stressful.
My team and I defended Gravelpit without losing A or B. That was stressful.
Defending B is super easy with an engineer and a couple of power classes Defending A requires a bit more work. You need a medic and a few mobile classes and you need to always keep the high ground, lots of roofs to jump on to rain rockets down on unsuspecting pyros
My team and I defended Gravelpit without losing A or B. That was stressful.
Sometimes behind every "Stuff you love" post, I feel the other team would have a "Stuff that annoys you" post.
I sat down with a couple of friends and gathered a party to play TF2 for about 3 hours. The most fun I've ever had with TF2 in years. Also I learned I love the quick-fix and one of my friends learned that it mirrored rocket jumps and put you at Scout speed.
Free to plays, they are fun to teach and play with :chem101:
Free to plays, they are fun to teach and play with :chem101:
I'm actually still in disbelief over a valve server I was on yesterday. There was a clearly confused dude trying to shoot people with the rocket jumper, and I pointed out that it does no damage. He appreciated that little bit of information a fair bit, and when he later dropped a pair of gunboats a guy playing soldier on our team started telling him the basics of rocket jumping after seeing him fail to do it a few times. Just the very basic stuff like crouch jump and such, but that does wonders for someone who can otherwise barely get off the ground. Someone did eventually join and tried to make him "F10 and spam enter for free hat", and the guy clearly did the initial part of it - but said something like "wow you are trying to make me quit the game fuck you" and kept playing :v:
The Backburner is so satisfying to use when you sneak up on unsuspecting groups of players, more so if said group was milked and I was able to tank over 400 damage.
Our team was getting rolled on Snowycoast by a team of heavies, so I call out in the chat to all go demo and sticky spam the cart and we just obliterate them. The cart barely moves another foot all round. When the game is good, it's so, so good. Teamworking is far more satisfying than dominating on your own.
That there are still some community servers, I wish I got the courage to try mge earlier. While I've encountered some gods of mge that got 60k on there rocket launcher, even in those games I still feel like I'm getting better, and there seems to be plenty of people around my skill. The good servers seem to keep cancer out with strict rules on comms.
