Faking out the enemy players hardcore. Yesterday I was playing heavy on Barnblitz offense. I was approaching the left stairs to last(with the tiny health pack and ammo pack and I saw a heavy medic walking out on the right. i made sure not to make any eyecontact and moved into the stairs as if I didn't see them. Then I turned a 180 and did a spin up jump to the bottom on the stairs and mowed down the heavy with gloves out who was about to turn up the stairs.
frontierjustice Still use it since day 1. shitting crits on soldiers demos getting mad over your sentry is the best feeling in the world. Bonus points for the FJ because it hasn't been rotten to death by valve's touch unlike other less fortunate unlocks. i feel like a special snowflake since nobody seems to use it nowadays (even less so without minis)
Nah man, I'm with ya. I have an Aussie one I picked up recently after really getting into using it. That feeling when your mini with 4 kills goes down makes you feel crazy powerful. Killing an entire combo with kritz for just playing Engie normally is great.
I have been playing Spy a lot more recently and feel as if he could be main material. What's the most satisfying thing for me in TF2? Matador-Stabbing Demoknights charging straight at you, and getting that pick on the 30-Killstreak Unusual Anger-Wearing Sniper by uncloaking right under in front of him whilst he's scoped in and give him revolver shots until he dies.
then you fight a smart person and its game over.
I mean, it's not like I always go for trick-stabs. Trick-Stabs should be used only as a last-resort when found out and have no-way of escaping the enemy, and I don't use the Dead Ringer because it's the "I wanna play Spy but not get punished for my constant mistakes" Watch. Also, it doesn't matter how smart you are, if you're fighting multiple enemies from the front a Spy's gonna more then likely get the stab on you because you're too focused on what's in front of you to randomly 180 to check for a spy in the heat of battle. And if you're doing that the Spy has already won, he's instilled a sense of paranoia in you that's going to fuck with your mind till the game ends.
Discovering better performance settings: I was running chris's max dx9 frames, as the dx8 config just crashed on map load. I tried Comanglia's Max FPS for High Quality PCs: http://www.teamfortress.tv/25328/comanglia-s-config-fps-guide and now dx8 is working great. Gibs are still on, but now drops below 200 are rare as it is in the 300s in fights usually and I've seen it hit 1000. It is super smooth, it may be placebo, but my pipes are hitting more. Try uncapped fps if you haven't already. People who don't play quake engine based fps's can't begin to understand why I'd have a 4790k and a 970 and proceed to run a 8 year old game in almost n64 mode.

Saved myself from burning to death with the Oktoberfest taunt in my last match. The love is real.

The Short Circuit is so fun to kill people with, just hold right click and aim in their general direction while jumping and dodging, watch light classes die in about four seconds. It's also a pretty good for spy checking, since the right click has a radius. (it shuts down projectile classes too but who cares about that am i right) (it also kind of turns engy into a weaker pyro that can build stuff)

I really hope they release a strangifier for it. I've found that spy checking is probably its best feature. If I'm having trouble with spies I equip the SC and just hunt them down. I've also found it very useful against scouts, as I don't have to aim.
I do enjoy rushing into people with dumb weapons sometimes, too. I remember getting a 5 killstreak with Wrap Assasin+Mad Milk. But then again, they were probably dead on their keyboards as that plan shouldn't even work in the first place. I also did this with Sharpened Volcano Fragment, Tribalman's Shiv and Disciplinary Action. It's lovely when it works, honestly.
SVF is pretty damn powerful in medieval mode. Especially if you actively vacuum up all the little health packs lying around.
There's nothing better than getting a friend who has the axtinguisher equipped and just chopping down an entire team on degroot
i've heard of this magical combo so many times now. enemies that fight back never exist in these cases it seems. even moreso when we realize the axt is really ass now.
This new shortstop ability is hilarious. I love just running up to people, shoving them, and running away.
This new shortstop ability is hilarious. I love just running up to people, shoving them, and running away.
remember to always shout 'don't act dumb'
I fucking love the Iron Bomber I'm not really sure why did they cut the fuse time on it but it's still a fun as shit weapon
Buying Map Stamps for my favorite maps
Saving the day. I was playing competitive mm on viaduct. Was playing as scout, but then my team barely capped with 3 seconds left in their clock. I die, respawn as gunslinger engineer. Plop entrance down, plop exit in house and then mini on point. Setup dispenser on one side. Proceed to aggressively shotgun, die once, but with my team coming in with the tele, its okay. Win the round. One of their soldiers right at the end "There's a fucking MINISENTRY."
don't care what anyone says, 8 years later badlands remains one if not the strongest map in the game. Even its koth variant is god tier.

Amazing sniper map too, and really fun to be behind enemy lines in their house and all that. Without a doubt my favorite KOTH map. I do miss the _pro version's side-route from playing it on community servers and elsewhere though.
you gotta love this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ue-okrMdhjQ
As much stick as it gets, I do enjoy watching comp TF2. The Ronin-Froyo match the other day was fairly exciting, if low-scoring.
i58 is also shaping up to be amazing
How so? I haven't been keeping up with it in the last few weeks. Just disappointing that Kaidus doesn't play now.
why is it disappointing
He's probably my favourite demo, great to watch, and I'd like to see how he does against the best teams around at LAN.
