I can't believe how much of a difference changing class makes. I was just in a Turbine match while my team kept being steamrolled and we kept losing. So I decide to go medic and holy shit everything changed. We actually managed to set up a decent defence, and even though we lost that match, people were thanking me for keeping them alive. Having an actual match with teamwork, voice communication and a friendly feeling all over it. It didn't matter if we all had +150 ping, every single one of us managed to obliterate the enemy team on swiftwater two times. Truly amazing.
Love playing TF2 with friends. Haven't done it in so long and holy shit is it fun to coordinate better with people you know
Love playing TF2 with friends. I know they wouldn't judge me but I still prefer playing with complete randoms. I'm a weird person, aren't I?

I just had three cunts dressed up as Undertale characters trying to stomp my team while playing Badwater while spamming Undertale quotes. I utterly stomped their ass in both rounds and got a "Fuck you" from one of them. This was the scoreboard. Getting genuine complements from players in casual feels nice.
Getting genuine complements from players in casual feels nice.
Yeah, I once finished a round as heavy with about 200 points on borneo and had two medics add me after the game and in the final chat they said "That heavy medic combo is beast!".
It might be a little shallow, but I felt pretty good when someone randomly complimented my Surgical Survivalist. c':
I love how even though I sold almost everything in my TF2 inventory for another game, one thing I refuse to give up is my Gibus collection. I've had it since 2013 and it seems like a permanent part of my inventory.
getting 10 ubers in a casual match and having only one of them fail to do something. feels good
backstabbing a spy that tried to stairstab you.
Gave Heavy some love today. :v:
I stair sniped a spy today, headshot too.
getting good players full of themselves to switch to their melee weapon for you is surprisingly a really good feeling. You made them expend their entire clips, you survive to their "skills" and then they desperately resort to rely on inherently awful, unreliable weaponry. I don't even care if they kill me with that at this point, it feels like I've won in a way.
Nothing says bliss as an engineer when you see your sentry about to die from being sapped, when suddenly, the sapper flies off and a friendly engineer begins to repair your sentry from being destroyed.
Everything about cutting a kritz short is just really juicy. Seeing a soldier's launcher flash red for a split second before he gets headshot, backstabbed or whatever happened to him. The confusion in the medic's movement as he realizes he has to retreat a bit while searching for a someone else to use it, and then the panic in the sudden aggressiveness of the player that gets the rest. Same goes for medics dropping their patient a moment before ubering, and ubering anyway. But for some reason kritz just amuses me more.

You've danced about for ages and built up your kritz, you're finally ready to blow away some hapless fools, and bang, your pocket dies. Awful. Especially as you realise that the alternate options to kritz are spies and snipers.
I don't know if the tune that plays the end of matches now is even supposed to be used outside of comp/casual but I honestly would rather they just keep it that way even if it isn't.
I was playing some hightower (idk i felt like it) and was walking by the cliff when some Demo's corpse flew into my face and made me jump back in fear. As I fell down, I heard a distant "HMMPH!" About a second later, a red Pyro fell right next to me and typed "i couldnt save u my love" in chat. He gave me a great fucking chuckle.

I was pubbing in mvm (don't ask why) on decoy, and one of our teammates was acting strangely, with the name "Bot", he was playing as heavy, and always faced the maps x(y?)-axis while revved up. Now I initially thought this was some server voodoo account spoofing bullshit designed to keep players, but that idea fell flat on its face when a guy called "Botmaster" joined the game. What this guy did was pretty cool, he developed a player tracking system, where the bot heavy would follow the Botmaster's movements perfectly, sort-of like a leash if you will. During combat the bot worked fine, aim at thing shoot thing the normal stuff, was always revved though. I don't know if it could upgrade or not however, but damn just seeing that product of too much spare time brightened up my day. Oh, and here are the accounts if your interested: (they seem to be throwaway anyways) Botmaster: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198332124374 Bot: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198331527552 Group associated: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/retroserversgaming Fascinating.
Yeah not to ruin it or anything [sp]Most likely Lmaobox since they added a bot thingy that follows you etc. And "BotMaster" have all achievements which is pretty common for hacker accounts with very low TF2 hours.[/sp]
ah, after checking the lmaobox patch notes, yeah your right, still cool though.
On Badwater some guy said my jumping skills were amazing and I was 'sick'. I'm not that good at jumping at all, and most of this forum will be better than me easily, but it was nice as a sort of demonstration that my time on jump maps has been paying off and I am getting better. :)
Holy shit what a day. Firstly I get complimented by our team's only medic because I managed to delete a nest that was steamrolling us while ubered as soldier (obv I also had help from my team as I used the Buff Banner). Then I somehow manage to use only the quickiebomb launcher in 1 whole match and get to the top 3 in the scoreboard. And then this! I love how the characters personality fits with their playstyle. Scout is very in-your-face type of guy, because he literally has to get in your face to do damage. Heavy is a simple man who likes to shoot things. And that is all you do, really. Demo is drunk all the time because he doesn't need to aim his weapons perfectly. Shooting 'nades and stickies at the general direction of the enemy works. Pyro is a mute, indescribable oddball of the team because...

playing on tdm hightower random person that i don't know calls me trash, calls me specifically out, for pretty much no reason; i didn't kill him, he might have killed me once. i basically said i agreed with him, he quiets down a bit, and i'm autobalanced to his team eventually i get back on the other team, play some soldier (stock+base jumper is my favorite), kill him a couple of times, taunt after killing him some, he is silent. play heavy, dominate him, kill him a few more times, shit talk him a bit, and leave before he can respond idk. probably pretty petty. still don't know why he was talking shit
Was doing a merasmission, cant remember the map but I think it was a payload map. Playing as pyro for fun, on defending team. Can't remember how it went down exactly but I suddenly got pile drived by some enemy team players, all rushing for the cart. Crit flare one and take the crit pumpkin, use it to burn up another one. Burn the last one and cast a spell at any others i see, chasing them away. I turn on my mic, and without thinking yell "FUCK YOU, YOU THINK YOU CAN TOUCH THIS TRAIN? THIS TRAIN IS MINE, I AM A GOD!" medic near me laughs and i dont really remember much after that. It was one of those special moments in tf2 that I will treasure.
