Does anybody have some good empty T-shirt photos where I can put on my design? Btw. What ya guys thinking about my design?
i really expect them to sell original content on their shirts, rather than something anyone can trace. you know, something they wouldn't normally sell on the store.
You should make a series of postcards based on each vanilla map or the most popular maps in the game.
I'm on it! Will probably make a t-shirt and a postcard for every classic map. Also opinions on the front side (I tried to keep it simple and vintage; stamp is just a placeholder and will not stay because I'd like to make it a "functional" postcard) [t]http://i.imgur.com/Udqunki.png[/t]
So, here's the transparent version on a plain white shirt. [t]http://i.imgur.com/PJITVRu.jpg[/t] Also: I'm raffling a level 100 Made Man painted A Distinctive Lack of Hue. Goes to whoever leaves the best / funniest / most creative comment on the workshop page. (If your Facepunch name differs from your Steam username, be sure to let me know either here or there.) Second place prize: Pomade Prince [t]http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/8/86/Pomade_Prince.png/250px-Pomade_Prince.png?t=20140619125822[/t] Runner-up prizes: Dueling Mini-Game, Frying Pan, Vintage Sandvich [t]http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/thumb/b/b6/Backpack_Dueling_Mini-Game.png/250px-Backpack_Dueling_Mini-Game.png?t=20111119201353[/t] [t]http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/13/139246/2063276-250px_frying_pan.png[/t] [t]http://tf2wiki.net/ww/images/thumb/9/95/Sandvich.png/250px-Sandvich.png[/t]
why is the side of his face blurry?
Probably a bad attempt to fix fucked up lighting/seams/ao with the smudge tool
Try using imgur instead.
Oh shi, I forgot I had it on my website... Silly me. Thanks for pointing that out mate [t]http://i.imgur.com/Udqunki.png[/t]
-snoipe-
I like it! The only strange thing is the stamp, but you already adressed that, he. I know you are going for a simple, cleaner look, but you could experiment adding some texture on the post card text, or a fake water-marked saxton hale stamp in the place where the real stamp goes. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3e/Ocean_Grove_Post_Card.jpg[/t]

I was thinking of something like water-marked "Mann Co. advises: put stamp here" but slightly transparent stamp with Saxton Hale sounds pretty cool too!
Got this comment on my Telemax shirt. Fake?
Got this comment on my Telemax shirt. Fake?
http://steamcommunity.com/id/WeLoveFine Shes friends with WeLoveFine. Maybe not? Just dont give out anything till you have better confirmation.
Seems odd that you'd submit stuff to valve already for making t-shirts, and that someone outside from that wants to send a t-shirt sample to valve. I'd assume they make their own samples when they set up the system as it is now edit: Seeing as she apparantly works at welovefine I might be wrong, but I don't know how WLF's contact with valve works
It does appear to be legit. I just spoke with Lozeng3r who did some DOTA merch designs when that first began and he says that they aren't faking it. Plus they're a admin on the WeLoveFine group.
why don't they have developer comments access? this launch has had a lot of oversights. Valve is even outsourcing the outsourcing and they couldn't even set the Workshop page up right.
Hey guys, just thought i'd stop by and confirm it's legit- Judith added me a few months ago and admittedly I questioned it as well initially, but they are the real people from WLF. Congrats to people getting added! Though don't get your hopes up yet, they're simply picking the most popular submissions and presenting them to Valve for the final approval- mine were rejected by Valve in the end so don't assume they'll be official merchandise just yet! And yeah, it's a weird way of handling submissions and the workshop. You'll need to upload/email them the PSD of your design as well, which they'll make a few changes to before submitting to Valve. I think Valve have done it this way because the people at WLF are the ones who would actually be doing the printing, and therefore they know best which designs could actually translate well onto a t-shirt, and can ignore the ones that are too detailed etc

Well my sentry poster is 130mb big. Why do we upload the art on the workshop then... :v:
I think it's just to follow the standard that'll be in place in future but these cases with welovefine seem like they're cherry picking for an initial release/first effort
Got bored, started messing around. [t]http://puu.sh/b2tii/fc599b20d4.png[/t] Not sure what I wanna do with this next. Tempted to actually colour in the RL and shotgun, but I left them grey to leave them more in the background. Maybe some shading would help later too. Edit: This looks a lot better I think
Got this comment on my Telemax shirt. Fake?
It's legit and very exciting! Me and IF got comments on a couple of our shirts today! Seeing as your shirt will now be presented to valve-- and is VERY TF2 styled, I can see it getting made easily. This is awesome!
well congrats to you people, I guess the rest should just sit and wait...
From the Update Speculation Thread:
valve didn't fuck up their cacti game, they stepped it UP [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/573401739837784616/3E79159CAF4E65A1420C7788D8AFC19431F62132/[/t] he's located by the area behind the first cap point of stage one
[t]http://i.imgur.com/mqhddc3.png[/t]
So just to ask the merch experts, when do you guys think Valve/ Welovefine will accept their first batch of new TF2 Merch?
