You may want to make the black a slightly different shade for each team as well.

Okay this Time I hope it's the right place to post this. Hello, I'm fairly new here. I'm interested in contributing to the TF2 workshop, and I have this piece of concept art: The Cosmetic: [url]https://imgur.com/a/wQd2n[/url] Image it was based off of: [url]https://imgur.com/a/vGgoz[/url] Some notes and context: - Really just meant for Spy, could work for any class but that's the only class I think this would really work with. - I know, it looks a lot like the Anger. The likeness to the Anger cosmetic was more or less unintentional. If you're willing to make this via 3d modeling software, feel free to get rid of the stitches but leave the knife slices in the hood. - The dark red lining around the hood is meant to be paint-able and team-colored by default. - The hood is meant to be more baggy and have more space around the sides of the Spy's head, unlike the close enclosure the Dashin Hashshashin provides [url]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/D...27_Hashshashin[/url]. - The hood is meant to look weathered and worn, with lots of knife cuts and a few rips. So to help you out a bit, consider the following advise: -I don't know with what program you're working on, but if it's MS paint, try switching over to either Gimp or Photoshop and learn how to use them properly. -Look up some reference about how items would look in real life, hoods/cowls are most of the time more then just a piece of fabric thrown over the head. Same goes with damage and repairs to items, look up how those looks IRL. -try to learn some basic techniques like shading/simulating textures and materials/perspective. Good concepts do not only show an idea, they also have to get the people who dedicate their time to bringing those concepts to life as stoked as you are, good looking art often has that effect on people. -You can post images directly in the forum by copying the image link from imgur and pasting it in the "insert Images" found in the text editor. I kinda like the bigass single barrel to be honest, gives me that cartoony vibe.
If you want to make a custom shotgunshell, it would be best to make it break-action like the Force a Nature (as in, it folds). At that point, making it double-barreled and giving it a release button like on the original concept would help match the animations. Otherwise, you could have it reload like stock and have the shell that is ejected look different. It would look odd because there isn't an ejection port on your concept, but there are problems with the stock scattergun already, so it wouldn't be too bad. There is also the option to not have the shell and to just have the scout crank the handle to charge the gun up like the cow mangler, bison, and pomson.

But you still free to make this, maybe your hat will make into the game. Imo, this should be all-class. It comes pretty obvious, but Valve should have implemented this hat idea for a while. If awarded for training course completion, it may work in a good way. It's a quite frightening fact but only 15,8% of players finished the tutorial, so we have huge amount of untrained players that have no idea how to actually play. P.S. And Valve should add medic training course, I'm (not only I) sick of weighted companion medics

In terms of the shell, I believe it is a model that can be replaced. I'm thinking that's how it is because when I worked on my flaregun, I added a custom shell along with the weapon

Alrighty! So, I figure I'd make a start on that G11 before any other contenders can get their claws into it. I couldn't really decide if i wanted it as a sniper or smg and so i did both!
