Does anyone know if a public version of the old Huo Long Heater model was ever released? The creators are silent about it, and can't/don't want to be contacted.
It would be a shame to have this lost for an eternity.

we went and made a lucky cat hat so you can wear a cat as a hat.
Still unclaimed after such a long time, who wants to change heavy into a king?

Fair warning, I am going to be closing this thread when I wake up tomorrow. Feel free to create threads on the topics you're discussing in here. We're trying to encourage people to spread out more, be liberal with the thread creation button. Don't group everything into one thread!
Well TF2 Emporium 67's coming sooner than expected
But why? This thread was like the biggest way for people see how progress on things like maps and hats was going?
This thread is already pretty specific as it, seperating it would only make it more dead than it already is :v
I am open to feedback.
The benefit of spreading things out means that people can get better exposure for their work. With a single thread, you are limited to one stream of discussion. Do you often ever feel that the thread travels too quickly, when you leave it you come back to hundreds of new posts?
This thread moves pretty slowly. It used to be that you'd wake up to 50+ new posts, but nowadays it only gets like 5 posts a day.
I'd be more welcome to the change of how things run on Facepunch, if it wasn't the casualness of you telling us you're shutting this place down after you've had a wank or whatever.
generally threads like this only go at a fast pace when an update drops, but even then it's pretty easy to read through what exactly happened, and since it's a general thread and since multiple topics go by so quick, it's usually fine to bring back an old topic as long as it's nothing that's already been talked about again and again and came to the same conclusion every time, like random crits, which is why we made a seperate thread about it
hasn't garry ever heard of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?
I could've just closed the thread and told you to fuck off?
This is essentially what you're doing in a nicer way
Or a weeks notice of the upcoming changes, whether it's some announcement like you've done today or an automated message that gets sent out to the owner of megathreads?
If it's open to debate at all, I would definitely say in the case of this sub-community, forcing users to make an individual thread for each minor release will simply make them less inclined to bother posting their work here at all. It would most likely have the opposite of the intended effect and make the community even less accessible than it currently is.
I can't wait to post a WIP as a new thread, have it get 12 views, 1 post, and then have it get pushed to the second page where it will rot for eternity.
Imagine all those crazy good warpaint artist findinv out this forum exists and posting all their work in separate threads. That is going to be nice huh.
Also please take a look at the responsiveness of this forum for mobile. It is pretty bad. As a webdesigner I had to shed a tear.
How is anybody supposed to find any non sub-forum threads in GGD if we're spamming the forum with a new thread for every single workshop item somebody makes?
man this update is such a shitshow
The thing is, would it be better for them to just spam this thread with their additions? Instead of disappearing off of the main page in a day or two when people stop responding, we'd be stuck with them taking up space in the one good thread unless a mod purges them. I'm not saying it would be better in general to split this thread into individual projects, but it wouldn't necessarily be worse in that situation.
If there was an actual detriment to the website by having all projects together in one thread, then I could understand splitting them, but as it stands I don't see why splitting it is totally necessary.
If it came to it, I think the best situation would be to split the Emp. into 3 sections:
*Concept art thread: claimable art for cosmetic and weapon concepts
*WIP thread: art for claimed projects, progress images, advice
*Showcase thread: repository for finished mods and workshop pages
I think this sort of separation may be beneficial, but not exactly necessary, as the Emp. is easy enough to use as is and isn't too cluttered, imo.
With this change, I guess I'll just go back to not posting on facepunch.
I think that might be what Hezzy's trying to imply, but the way he's so incompetently worded it makes it sound more like it's bad to set up forum threads on a forum-based website.
We could make it a bunch of branded off-shoots like
TF2 EMPORIUM'S IN-PROGRESS EMPORIUM
TF2 EMPORIUM'S WAR PAINT COLOR MIX-UP
TF2 EMPORIUM'S MAPMAKER WAR ROOM
I dunno bro, those seem vaguely kind of maybe "Megathread"-y, better watch that wrongthink
Well it's either that or get new content makers the shaft as they post into shitpost central.
This isn't a megathread or a chat thread wtf
this shouldnt be getting closed
Nice.
