Would that fit TF2 style as it looks a bit overly modern.
You mean because he based it on a genuine, Vietnam War-era chopper minigun?
I can get that the current design would be seen as a bit modern-esqu, as the main body was pretty blocky and I was meaning to greeble it up & make it a bit more cluttered, but besides that, my main source of inspiration was, as Lazlo ninja'd from me, based off a very real, pre-modern era piece of artilery. Besides that one little bit, I can't really see how else this could be too modern, because that statement seems very vague for a weapon that currently looks like this. https://i.imgur.com/cYIsnHi.png
The ammo box in the drawing and silhouette are backwards.
Haven't been in these parts for a while, Deleting some of my older files and came across the pictures of models I tried making back in the day. Best I got are the really bad concepts, some shots of items I tried making and maybe the .blend files sitting around still that I won't get rid of yet. These are all around from 2013, One that isn't among them is the 'Thong spy' as the file sits untextured on my computer. Think this will be one of the rare times I post since I don't play the game anymore and this was a nostalgic trip to the past. Thanks to all of you anyway who got me interested and excited for new ideas and items back in the day. https://imgur.com/a/y1gjkCS

I should been a bit more specific, your overall design is great; but it's just the stamping with theses dots and notches that you'll often seen sprinkle as strengtheners on modern weapons. https://i.imgur.com/pl24qfZ.png I'd say define them more and replace with screws; if they are screws make better screws.
I've been working on a couple of sets that are currently unclaimed. So if anyone is interested, i would love to see them modeled. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/261815/ad728f7d-e6ed-4efc-9cfc-8d083aa32917/engineer_1.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/261815/9b8d197c-7f13-49af-be02-121b9fbb1f1c/medic_1.png
Kinda a weird callout post, but recently TF2Mods.net and most of the websites that it hosted on its domain died, so now a sizable chunck of TF2 modding's past is no longer accessible like The Medieval and NOTLU projects. If anybody who had something in any them still hangs around the modding scene, would you consider re-uploading them somewhere? I feel like its kinda disappointing not being able to go look back at and use some of the mods anymore.

2am sleep-deprived concepts are usually the most interesting: https://puu.sh/AeMcj.png
I found out that you can still get a small number of mods by using the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, but these are few and far between unfortunately.
It went down a month ago and some mods can be downloaded through the wayback machine, it will probably take you a long time but I am fairly certain you could find most of the mod files through it if you want to try and archive them on a more permenant platform. Fun fact: This capture of the Latest page was taken when my Steam got hacked for a week, subsequently I can't seem to find a download of my older Cream Spirit mods on there, good thing I put them on Gamebanana too.
It's so depressing to see the roots of the workshopping scene and what made it good crumble around us

somebody make an item that just covers engineer's entire torso in those belt pouches
https://imgur.com/Fw4yCwe Dug out an old concept of mine (some 60s/70s-era clothes and hair IIRC) and decided to make the jacket on 4/5. https://i.imgur.com/IC0yGR8.png Any critiques on the model/textures so far? And I definitely need some name ideas. (Also, how do you thumb images on this new forum?) Now I have to figure out how to rig this thing... Blech.
