I did a global baking out of curiosity and it turned out much better than I thought it would. I'll just fix the few mistakes here and there. Then I'll get a texture up & compile that thing soon enough :>

Figured it out.
Blender automatically puts an EasIn/EaseOut on any animations, even if you manually change the motion graph to be linear the inbetweens still keep some of it for some reason. Making a cycle of 3 loops then exporting the middle loop which has no EaseIn or EaseOut gives the true linear. What I thought was the 360->0 frame being dumb was actually the EaseOut->EaseIn acceleration being back to back. Thanks Populus and Colteh.

I had a little bit on inspiration from Roadhog's gun in Overwatch & a few ref that I liked. No real theme in particular, just having fun making it really :>
It's really nicely modeled, but it kind of just looks like a vanilla flare gun with extra detail/realism. Maybe a good texture will make it come alive.

It looks great but feels overdone. It has a lot of little details which is something you don't see on TF2 guns.
Looks fine to me except for the curved handle and that flimsy, long, secondary trigger - doesn't match the bulkiness of the body. I'd get rid of that trigger and give it a more sturdy grip.

I really like the badge on the side, tbh.
EDIT: Okay, that was a bit vague. So, I love the unique shape above all else compared to the rest of the class icons, you know? Plus the unique placement, you wouldn't expect a badge to be there but it works well. Also the texture that'd go with it: I'd imagine a dull shinyness in a bit of a contrast to the rest that I think would look good. Although if I'm being honest you'd probably have to remove the four tick marks(?) on the edges of the symbol

the colors will probably look better once you start adding wear and painstrokes to the textures
