Maybe it could be like this Or the head of a Hammerhead Shark
id love to make a head replacement like this for engineer like other head cosmetics such as the beep mann or the bird heads buuuuuut it's too wacky to be worn all year round so whats the point when they wont add it
Well if we're talking about replacing engineer's head with a hammer then why not replace it with a wrench instead?

Super Shotgun animations. Broken texture because I'm bad. By the way, thanks for the thoughts about the RPG. I made it so his hand doesnt get pinched, added more punch to the fire, and made the draw slower.
show these without motion blur
Can render another one tomorrow without it and do it from now on. Good point. :v

The weapon is too frozen, it should have some backwards momentum or whatever you call it when the shells are ejected. It's hard to see with the motion blur

Here's the SSG animations with no motion blur. Highest FPS I could get with what I use to create gifs, guess the motion blur helped in that regard. This on the other hand is the Displacer Cannon which I made last night/today. The last animation is a teleport animation.
weapons
Oh my goodness those are some sexy weapons. And I can't stop drooling over those animations.

Only thing I can suggest (if suggestions are open) would be to animate the handle bar thingies on each teleporter prong. Also, while I'm aware that this will (more than likely) be in the next TF2 Classic update, will we be seeing this on the workshop?
dude go animate a game you're too good for this
surprise, its for a game
What's the Displacer Cannon supposed to do?
I think it's supposed to work like the one from HL: Opposing force where you just kill someone by teleporting them.
dude go animate a game you're too good for this
Thanks, but working on TF2C is good for me because I can work when I want to on what I want to while also both getting good and building a resume to hopefully be an animator professionally. As for the workshop, I don't see a reason to. 1: Valve doesn't have any way to allow custom animations with weapons iirc. 2. It wouldn't fit any character as the whole design of the weapon is meant to be a strong single fire shot, and doubt any of the class descriptions match that well.

can it read "Happy 15th Bday!"?
October 10th will be TF2's 10th birthday. :dogwow:
One of my very first submissions is a birthday cake for the 6th birthday :magic101:
Check out the Beach ball. It basicaly reads "15th birthday" :v:
That's TeamFortress's birthday from way back, they didn't bother to update it for whatever reason. He's talking about Team Fortress 2's birthday which will make it a decade old in October.
What's the Displacer Cannon supposed to do?
Displace. But that's just a theory.
(Crossposting from the frontline thread) After a tidious upload, I finally managed to get my map, koth_iglesia, on the workshop! Check it out!
I want to get back into modeling for TF2, but the guides from the front of the thread are from as early as 2011 and only seem to account for windows or mac, not Linux so some of the key items they suggest are only available through VMs. Am I SOL or is there a guide for someone like me? EDIT: Nevermind, I found out blender has a "Game Asset Creation" tutorial on their website that's only a year old that should walk me through most of the process. You'll see my hat in a couple of weeks from now.
I think it's supposed to work like the one from HL: Opposing force where you just kill someone by teleporting them.
The idea that when you're "killed" by the main blast, you're teleported to the moon or some randy field somewhere was tossed around. But that'd require every single map in the game to have a little gimmick box to teleport a player to just to kill them in. It'd be hilarious but that's really just asking for technical trouble, and is a huge amount of work. Plus it would mean in effect that not only are you killing a person that you'd also be delaying their effective respawn time, throwing them down a mineshaft or something, which is annoying and unfun.
