The final "tip" of the whip could stand to hang a larger distance away from the coil as to better portray that it is the tip still being used.

Having an odd problem with animation swapping, if someone who knows about animations can help. So I'm trying to swap Soldier's viewmodel shotgun animations with The Original to make the shotgun from Quake. I did this before on my WIP Double Claymore mod, swapping the stock bottle/Caber anims with the Eyelander anims for a two-handed grip. But for some reason when I do this for The Original and the Shotgun, both models vanish from screen. Not sure what's going wrong, I'm using Crowbar to decompile/recompile if that helps narrow it down. Also a pic of the model so far, for giggles. Gonna wait and see if the anims DON'T look like crap before finishing it, though. [t]http://i.imgur.com/SBnYmIW.png[/t] Also before someone says it, yes, [URL="http://gamebanana.com/skins/126177"]I'm well aware someone did this idea already.[/URL] But that mod is fairly old, and I think the model could look more "TF2-y". The model looks mostly the same as the Generations Arena version of Quake's shotgun, and the texture is fairly bland imho. Not to mention custom animation mods tend to break whenever TF2 updates, so my own take using pre-existing animations should be less troublesome in the long run.

I mean, it's a good [I]idea[/I] for an item, but are you aware that a lot of people who don't know the original source behind the Guy Fawkes mask will just associate this with just being a meme item? And given you threw in the Illuminati item in their - ironically or not - it also feels like that with your own depiction. That and I'm very sure I've seen a lot of workshoppers do this mask plenty of times. Again, nothing wrong with what you've done, and it's modelled rather well too, but I feel as though I'd bring my own thoughts and concerns to light if you're wondering why there's so many downvotes.

I'd be apreciative if because would give me ideas or critiques so to how I could make it better to fit the game in any way possible. I have made a new texture for the item to fit an Egyptian theme tater than a modified version of the fawkes mask. It still has resemblance to the original, but that's because I'm wanting to keep the reference. I'll post an image the model in engine when the ao and rigs have been made. I thank you for saying something, rather than just marking it as dumb.
It would work best if it didn't disable the default hat. Although it feels like a joker/jester theme would suit it far better than a Egyptian one. In any case, cant blame anyone here for reacting like that. you sure gave an awful first impression back there.
