Turned out a lot better than the original lost valve model anyway so there we go Still looking for texturers. Have a few props like this that need texturing. Such as this, the Ford F8 trailers, the stock train/SD40 and so on. So if that interests you, hit me up

I couldn't find it in "team fortress 2 trailer 2" on youtube and I'm curious
It's over by the blue grain silos where there's three ore cars now. The ore cars replacing the grain hoppers, which explains why open gondolas are sitting outside a grainary. [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/227571650609152000/385629348323131392/unknown.png[/t] [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/227571650609152000/385628989802414080/unknown.png[/t] [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/227571650609152000/385627541924216834/unknown.png[/t] You can barely see them, which i guess is why nobody else has done this. Also weirdly the trucks have an equalizer bar on it, even though that's unique to locomotives which needs the wheels counter-levered for the sake of traction. And this despite the stock locomotive in TF2 sharing the freight car truck without that. Maybe the locomotive had those trucks and was switched later on, which would explain the wasted UV space which has textured objects on it. But that`s irrelevant since i fixed that on my updated version, so whatever. Bizzare. The model itself looks very very basic, which is probably why it was replaced. The car itself is also a very modern type, which only really appeared more recently. [t]http://www.progressiverailroading.com/railproducts/graphics/CACH-FCA-GRAIN_16.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.northamericanrailcarcorporation.com/picts/alpx628149.jpg[/t] The barrel/round type was more common at the time, despite the inoptimal use of volume. [t]https://rrmuseumpa.org/wp-content/uploads/PRR_Hopper_255750.jpg[/t] But i said fuck that and did one from the late 40's or early 50's. Because it's visually much more interesting and the pickup is a '38 chevy so fuck it why not.
has anybody run into problems with the taunt import tool? mine won't play the taunt. the model stays in primary weapon idle pose. the dmx works when re-importing as an animation in sfm. opening an old taunt submission and swapping the new dmx into it worked once (so the dmx must have exported fine), but when you change class the behavior reverted to the same problem, not only that, but the other classes also stopped working afterwards even though they are still on the old taunt files. clicking the action button in the ui only restarts the idle pose. i already validated game files.
Might as well crosspost this here - I made a Canada-themed war paint!
*trains*
That hopper model is amazing, you've done a great job on it. This is a super minor nitpick, but the real car rides on journal/friction bearing trucks, whereas the one you've modelled appears to be on roller bearing trucks. Also, just because I'm a fuckin' nerd... The Hawker-Siddeley cylindricals are primarily used in Canada and weren't introduced until the late 1970s. They're rarely used in the states for grain hauls and are mostly used for chemical loads there ;) [t]http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Dv2Sz8IG_v4/VXnYs4se-3I/AAAAAAAAHgc/YJ2EEwSKXOs/s1600/cpwx608606_2.jpg[/t] Don't mean to take away from your post, I just love talking trains lol
Update for Big Stepping Scientist Made the coat better. Added better clothing folds, and put "Dell" on the badge. Also made it more straight lined. Up for claims again, remember that the head part is a different misc to the coat, and both are individual miscs.

It's a mess but Valve do leave dev comments on taunts more frequently than cosmetics, so they would surely tell you if it was broken.

Supposedly most of them are state owned, so that explains why they waste so much volume. Also i'm pretty sure that specific car has rollers on it. Maybe they were added in preservation or they used the older truck style when rollers were new, i don't know.
Could be. If it's from the late 40s-early 50s, then thats right around the end of new journal bearing trucks, so it would be fine to have either one under it, now that I think of it. The grain cars were ordered by the federal government and indeed been owned by them most of their life. They were famously nicknamed "Trudeau hoppers" early in their lives because of that. Not sure who actually owns them now that the Canadian Wheat Board has been privatized, though. I believe they're supposed to be replaced with a huge new order of hoppers in the near future. I'll miss em, they're an icon of the Canadian prairies and railroads edit: sorry, dont mean to turn this thread into a train discussion lmao

Why isn't the fur on the front edges of the coat? It looks off IMO, especially since the collar is practically covered in fur

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I'm interested in contributing to the TF2 workshop, and have this piece of concept art for Pyro: It's up for grabs if anyone wants to claim it. I'll be keeping all unclaimed concepts here : http://imgur.com/a/AOKBS
progress in tf2 technology
so is there any eta on an update for TFMV that'll fix the crashing?
Revived this project, someone was interested in this rifle. As one can observe, i have changed a lot of things; 1. I changed back to the reference picture that i made before that had a flaw with the ammo location. 2. I have made the "handle" bigger, to make the hand a bit happier. 3. Added more screw (you). However, still there's a lot of things i need to fix: 1. The scope, specifically: The rubber at the scope (where you look) and the scope itself.
