3ds max after 2012 isn't supported by the tools that work. You can't even buy 3ds max 2012 anymore.
Then there's Wall Worm for 3dsmax 2015-2017 but the documentation and tutorials are lackluster or non-existent. Wall Worm is working on a mdl import/exporter but it's not complete yet.
I have to use the weird QC/SMD importer with a thousand options and edit the QC myself to be able to do anything.

Every guide I find is outdated, and the questions I'm googling for are the same ones that remain unanswered since 2014. I can't imagine the nightmare it would be for a newbie to try modding TF2 today.[/QUOTE]

Blender's source tools still work fine for me. You are importing the .smd right? if you're trying to import anything else it won't work or even detect it.

Glad to announce that JPRAS and I finished the Saxton Hale model. Originally intended to be the Mayann Hale model,
is now the imitation of the Jungle Inferno model (more info / wips in the workshop description). Available for both [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1236810839"]Garry's Mod[/URL] and [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1236765708"]Source Filmmaker[/URL]!

A VSH conversion is going to be available for Server owners too, so stay tunned for that as well!

It was a reference to the idea that Pyro is crazy and somehow got a broken collar onto themselves or were chained up like an actual dog, not an actual furry reference. If it was a furry reference, I would've bothered making a whole set around it, not just the collar itself.

But I guess because I so much as mentioned "furry" people will jump to "oh it's a furry pandering item".

It doesn't matter if being a furry is mentioned. Pyro has zero connection to dogs and you created one. It's going to inherently be associated with furry culture whether you like it or not.

If people relate it to being a furry it's on them. Not everything involving collars or animal aspects immediately relates to furries as a societal context. Collars themselves have been fashion statements for years, and if you wanna get into fetishists, bdsm involves collars and leashes and isn't exclusive to furries.

You can call "furry item!" on me if i ever make a tail buttplug or fursuit head concept.
