having triggers as multi use is cooler than shit
soft press for aim, hard press for either ducking down, toggling aim, or bullet time (can be done with cheat engine if needed)
other trigger, soft press to shoot once for a controlled shot, hard press tap for a double shot (Start/Release usage) and maybe even holding or double clicking hard press for full auto
and then in Dues Ex double tapping the sprint button to use that dashing aug. Double tapping duck to use cover.

its somehow extremely intuitive too and very natural. Combines buttons almost perfectly.

Really the ideas apply to basically any game
I got the controller last year, and while it is nice, I struggled to find a game that it's better playing than a mouse and keyboard.

What about 3D platformers?
I don't really play any of those on my computer.

I've not played any games without it since getting it and I pre-ordered it
though that's really a matter of preference. The software it gives me access to is a lot better than anything else out there.

Isn't it technically also available to anyone with a DS4 or Xbone controller or is the Steam Controller mapping way more in-depth?
Isn't it technically also available to anyone with a DS4 or Xbone controller or is the Steam Controller mapping way more in-depth?
Software wise, it's identical between Steam Controller, DS4, or an Xbox 360 gamepad (or any generic x-input one, for that matter).
Hardware differences are the main factor, now.

It is, however the trackpads and gyro make the steam controller way more preferable for me
I also have an alternative SNES controller that works with the software, for when the right game applies.
If I WERE to use another controller, it would be the wiiu pro controller.

really the software is pretty fucking excellent and I'm glad DS4 and Xbone users get to use it

I tried out the audio thing, it worked out but I sure hope I don't get banned even though it's deleted now.
Basically using the names of steam guides in his guide showcase to execute some code to add a youtube video or make his avatar a .gif.

Before it was the guide page itself, now it's on the profile where the guide title appears
Someone should apply as webdev and make a quick buck sticking htmlentities() everywhere.
valve please

Just tried it out, 100% works and you can even run code using <script> but can't seem to load js from external sources

This is literally using the same method the last 4 posts or so were about.
People just realised you can do extremely malicious things
This has been around for about a year, I thought it was common knowledge...? The ammount of profiles using them I've seen using it are just crazy.

no?
The only recent exploit like this was in the guides themselves.

Yeah but people would set that to their guide and then their profile would become all bright or something, it's been around for awhile as I've seen it around for quite awhile but thought it was common since I've seen plenty people use it within the months.
Lol, what if they ban EVERYONE doing this? It'd be in order considering what they did to Timmy.

It's already fixed, and they didn't ban everyone

Sounds like an overwatch thread I've read recently
-snip i'm retarded-
Valve hosted a round table with press at their offices today. Details are still coming out, but here's what's been posted so far:
Three new, full-size VR games in development, using both Source 2 and Unity
Thoughts on how the recent US travel dramas affect both Valve and The International tournament
What do you think the odds are there's more Steam news to drop on Monday? It seems like they did the big press event, then the news about VR games dropped on Thursday and Steam Direct on Friday, suggesting at the very least that Steam Direct was embargoed.
Well, according to Gamerevolution this was all. They published 4 articles: TF2, CS:GO, VR and Steam.

I wish they would dismantle Mann VS Machine and redo it.
I wish they would dismantle Mann Vs. Machine and pretend it never happened.
