Bryce is a whole new can of beans because this guy is very blind to what he's capable of being able to accomplish right now. He's improving on his animating and has some pretty decent ideas, but, if I may be brutally honest, [I]he cannot model and texture for shit.[/I] But if he does start to improve and actually start listening and taking in any constructive criticism, instead of meeting it with hostility, he may be able to make something pretty good. It's just unfortunate that he's still got a long way to go before he wisens up.

I hate to say it with Bryce but the only way I think he'll go "okay maybe i need to improve or try something new" is if valve adds his items to the incompatible list. To be fair though, he's at least trying? I think? I've only made one item for the workshop and it was awful.

I think he would benefit by doing a simple item and practise his modelling (and maybe texturing) skills.

I do think we need to at least acknowledge and congratulate NES for actually attempting to reach out and offer to help Aaron, even offer suggestions privately on how to improve that. That was a genuinely great act of kindness that we rarely see in the Emp, and I don't want that to be glossed over at all. A shame whatever you said was ignored, but you at least did what you could to help. Vipes does need to improve a lot in his art, but that doesn't mean he should be shunned as horribly as this. Like unless the guy's guilty of kicking puppies or burning down an orphanage to make you act like you have a personal vendetta against him, I say that Vipes is just an artist who's still learning a lot on how to draw and pitch his concepts. Not everyone who illustrates is absolutely perfect and will improve over time, but saying that they put no effort into what they do is a colossal stretch. And doing some digging through the art this guy's posted, I feel as though I'm inclined to say I've seen far, far worse art pitched as concept art. If anything, this guy's work is actually not that bad; He could use improvement, but it's still pretty decent.
