Not as bad as that old submission of the Teammates Killed counter. Adding that part to a weapon allows you to kill teammates with it (however they cannot attack you back unless they get a strange with it too). Super griefing device right there. And to top it off his demo image was a flamethrower with the teamkill part.

I also love how he states that they are "real" TF2 characters and, as you stated, he mentions Dr. Grordbort as being a TF2 character.
That's a nice idea though, but I'd just prefer using his idea on tutorial maps. Like DOTA2 has right now. Go through the basics of every class and then the gamemodes. Hale might be giving you some information in the MVM tutorial.
It would be awesome to have co-op Adventure Mode where you have to complete various objectives and fight robots. Wave system gets boring too fast.
