it's always "most popular this week" when you visit the page. you get the full wiff of the filth when you switch to the "most recent" tab and see for yourself the cesspool of crud those most popular items have to fight for attention against to actually reach the most popular tab. it doesn't help that most bad items have vibrant workshop icons simply from their over saturated item textures..
