Why do people do this? It boggles my fucking mind. For a weapon I can understand it could be good jolly fun to speculate and suggest stats for it (even though Valve would never use your pretty little suggested stats). But for a cosmetic, even if it IS satire? I've been seeing these more and more lately and it just makes me look at the screen with the blankest stare and makes me hate the fact that I'm part of this fuckhead community.

This was made by a friend of mine. I told him the textures werent very tf2ish and it could use some revision, but i think he took the advice to his next work and didnt go back to that. He seemed really happy he could make promos for somebody though.
I will never understand how this stuff gets upvoted to Heaven and back while so many other, [I]much better[/I] looking items go by unnoticed.

While the idea is pretty awesome, the model is pretty terrible.
Unfortunately the average Workshop-goer doesn't know about model quality and merely upvotes the idea.
That thing's got many more votes than ANY of the items I've ever made...
