I tell you, sometimes I love Facepunch because of things such as the TF2 Emporium and Major Update Speculation, and then there are other times that I just despise Facepunch because of stupid situations like this where I can't make an honest post in response to a question I was asked without people flipping out on me for doing so and jumping on the "let's all hate 404" bandwagon.
So in closing, I implore people to not jump to conclusions so quickly in regards to any perceived snark in my posts. Yes, I get that the way I word my posts and the words that I choose to use in an intellectual fashion can end with me being seen as "full of my own shit" but that won't stop me from posting the way I do.[/QUOTE]

I agree, let's cut it out. Next time, just think your posts more thoroughly, I know a few people here have some problems with them, they tend to come off snarky. I'd hate to be that guy who derails threads, though. Sorry.
The model and texture for that item isn't actually that bad, it's just the promo which is directed horribly, you can barely see the item, especially on a small thumbnail.

I honestly like the look of the one on the left more, it's got more of a space feeling to it.
the may have different designs but they are both playing at the same concept and the new one doesn't bring much to the table to justify having two of the same general thing

That argument would hold water if not for the fact that Spy has approximately seventy decillion fedora-like hats.
The viewfinder was for a charity and is stylized to look like a video game player, complete with the cartridge in the back of it. That looks like a cool alien doodad.
Doesn't mean it has any chance of getting in, of course, but the difference is there.

They're not identical, no, but they're similar enough for Valve to name a trilby "The Fancy Fedora".

It's just a picture of an alot. Do a google image search for 'lolcat' - those would be considered macro images.
