If anything, it should be nerfed down to player damage. Also I've been saying this for years now, but they really need to buff the revolver guard damage at[I] least somewhat [/I]if they want him to be as useful as the pistol guard.

I remember that used to happen in HL2DM back in like 2007, and even in Half-Life 2, it's a Source bug I'm guessing. Not sure why it does it maybe someone else knows.

I never saw that houndeye again.
I remember that happening to me in Garry's mod years back, never figured out what caused it.

^ What he said. The Shotgun in Half-Life was really loosely based off the SPAS-12, but the real SPAS-12 came from the HD Pack on Playstation 2 and released with Blue Shift and Opposing Fronts. I prefer the fictitious hl1 shotgun. I don't like the SPAS-12's stock

What does the spas 12 stock even look like? You don't really see it in game.

I never really liked the vanilla Black Mesa HECU. They looked way too tacticool for my taste. I've taken the liberty to reskinning Simkas' early 2000s US military models. They look so much closer to the original looks. Finally someone did something that is close to a PCV.
I liked how the realistic vests looked, but even back then I was kinda miffed that they didn't include the PCV as the standard armor for the HECU dudes. I'd love an actual model that uses the PCV (Romka's grunts aside)

Why not base it on any other Source engine game that is moddable?
I think the HECU redesign was fine, the HECU in HL1 were just designed as generic military guys. The type of armor and even the name and branch were never hinted at until OP4 came out. I like the helmets on the alternative models though, I might just use both if the textures don't clash too much. I did get Romka's working in-game awhile back but I wasn't allowed to release them at the time, and the stylistic differences between Romka's models and Black Mesa's was pretty huge. If I did go for a full replacement release I probably would have just made 80% of the grunts the gasmask model to hide the fact that there was little variety in faces.
