No idea honestly, though compiling hl2 models works fine
I blended various insurgency sounds with BMS sounds for the glock, mp5, and 357, while the shotty is blended with the hl1 and animation revamp sounds.
Have new bullet impact sounds as well from various sources.
I should do that with Insurgency sounds then, cause I forgot how nice they sounded.
Is there an actual ETA for juniez's pack? I am actually holding my next playthrough just for it.

Same here. He did just recently say it's only halfway done though. So guess we gotta wait another...3 years? At least Xen will be done by then! :V
Speaking of which, is Xen still slated for release some time next month?
For some strange reason, I don't feel very confident they'll be making that date, however.

They did state it's their "do or die" date so they'll release it no matter what. That's what they said, at least.

So just like 2009?
It says "do or die". They might not get it finished by the end of the year, but if they don't they're legally obligated to commit a mass suicide so that seems like a pretty substantial incentive.
I mean, it could be they're deliberately being silent on it to surprise us all with the launch, but like I said I'm not holding my breath at this point. We should have a concrete date and something of an overview on what exactly they did to Xen by now, but instead we have couple of screenshots and largely vague promises. That's a pretty decent sign they're not ready to launch in December.

Game development takes time, especially if you work on an engine like Source.
hope they're gonna redesign the houndeye AI.
this "instantly beeline-suicide into gordon" is horrible.
The shotgun soldiers do it too and it's super annoying. I know it's a carryover of AI from regular HL2 but the Combine soldiers were a lot more fun to fight than the guys in Black Mesa.

Everything about Black Mesa combat is a bit fucky.

I find grunts perfect in this current build.
the big issues are very much with the npcs that aren't based off valve work (squid houndeye agrunt)
[editline]4th November 2017[/editline]
also I have no idea how removed the hl2 gravitygun is from their code, but it'd be very cool to be able to unlock it after some ARG or achievement thing
I think that Xen willl probably be delayed again, since they haven't really been saying anything about it recently
sad days, but hopefully it'll come soon
Did anyone ever port the BMS Animation Revamp pack to the retail version? Would be nice to use until the Classic Pack comes out.

I mean, i kind of agree, but at the same time, they literally only announced the BM release 2 weeks before release - the only concrete info we had before then was that there would be a media drop at the start, and that when it's starting "we'll know"
But then again its just as likely they ran into some big issues and have to push it back, so i digress
I don't know guys, I was sure they would release it as promised. I get the scepticism, I too watched the OG mod get developed since 2005, but the way they announced it this time makes me think they'll release it
Way I see it, they could have delayed into 2018 or gone back to "When it's done" after not making their Summer 2017 goal, but they didn't. They were still confident they could make 2017. So I'm confident they'll make their goal as well.
Can anyone confirm hosting singleplayer maps in multiplayer actually works for co-op?

Yes, but expect crashes and no level change triggers.

crashes are the least of your problems. players spawning in random places and dead AI ruins it.

That too, also the tram disappears in oar.
Damn. Maybe we'll finally get a co-op mod on the full release.
How 'bout a glimpse at some Classic Pack goodness in honor of the series' 19th birthday? :]

Pretty sure today's Half-Life 2's anniversary
I thought HL2 came out in September?? Oh man my timeline's all messed up.
Update: NOW it's the anniversary of Half Life. How bout some Classic Pack news eh? EH? ;_;
What game doesn't get delayed these days? Thing about Valve-Time is that when Valve misses a release date, they don't say shit about it and then it crops up 5 decades later. Meanwhile BM delayed a couple months with plenty acknowledgment.
