Seeing all that model stuff on that thread makes me happy.
Those models will make me ACTUALLY finish BM:S without skipping chapters.
I felt the guns on BM:S (Except for the Tau Cannon) generic and that they missed a special "touch" like they had on HL1.

I can't deny that it holds up in terms of production quality, I can see why it would be a last priority to modify. Come to think of it the snark is probably more demanding of a remake (I'm not asking you too it would just be cool if the devs updated it), it's lacking in texture and doesn't have much geometric detail.

It looks like they just threw a bunch of crates around :v: It looks off. I like the original more to be honest. I would remove the top crate so that players can see the whole area.

Doesn't mean I can't comment on it, I mean that's not an excuse. He can always simply ignore my post if he knows it's not finished, there's no need for him to answer to me if he was planning to fix that already. That's how I approach these things anyway, if I post something I do kinda want people to comment on it either way, and maybe see their reactions, otherwise I'd rather keep it to myself if it's not ready yet. If he really doesn't want people to comment on this stuff then he shouldn't post the picture, a disclaimer isn't going to stop anybody from talking about it.

Yeah, no worries, I'm accepting of any and all feedback. In fact, an early WIP is in my opinion the best time to get opinions because less is set in stone and is easier to change. I only include those sorts of disclaimers when showing off early stuff in case later on I have reason to do serious overhauling work on it no one is like, "okay wtf is diff thn u showed."
The crates are displaced oddly because I wanted to implement a simple platforming bit of sorts instead of a boring ladder as the reference material had. Maybe I could get more opinions on that? Compromise between something more fun and something more realistic.
Good call with removing the upper crate to open up some of the view.
Oooh, bringing Uplink into Black Mesa? I like it.
You being rated late made me think of that first Uplink remake.
