As this have slided so late, if it doesnt come out this week, realistically it would be great to just move it strain off to December. Move over to Scream Fortress content and give people a post what they are up to.

Scream Fortress will show up in the same capacity it did last year and our Smissmas event will be the the Pyro update.

Valve sucks. I want my update.

Remember when my doomsday prediction was December? Remember how that seemed stupidly unreasonable? Yeah, me too. I'm going to go bawl my eyes out in a dark and dank corner now.

Maybe I was right to think there was no pyro update. Perhaps they realized what we do, that the expectations from such an enormously long wait are unmeetable by this point. People are expecting a new game at this point.

Valve in general makes me sad lately.

I never should have posted the "plenty of time" reference from the email, as it gave false hope to everyone. It might be that their plans changed and now we are all in limbo.

It's becoming apparent that this project has become too much for the TF team to handle, and cannibalized itself. This is one of the few rational explanations left as to this enormous wait, without something like a wholesale rework of TF2 as a game at the end. Either that, or the TF team are the biggest procrastinators in the video gaming industry

If it comes out this month it would likely replace Scream Fortress.

Think EOTL -> Smissmas, or Scream Fortress, Two Cities, or, hell, Pyromania -> MvM. List goes on. A Campaign getting a bit cooky isnt the factor preventing them from releasing it, that assumption sounds insane to me.

I'm looking at how the past campaigns have been handled and trying to look at this update like a development team might instead of how a fan would. They want this update to be a success, they want it to stand on its own and I'm sure they want it to make a good chunk of change too. It makes sense to have it not share the spotlight with a smaller event. If it comes out sooner. Great. It they let it overlap with another update. Fine. I just don't see it happening. I will be happy to be proven wrong.

That said I'm setting my expectations for an impending announcement very low and expecting a blog post announcing the update on 10/10, with a release on the 12th.

Can someone make a pic that works with the conscientious objector of the pyro emblem, a tree, and a question mark? Last time I played I got a decal tool as a drop and if it isn't out in two saturdays from now I'll start protesting.
