hello I just wanna point out that there are games that started development and were released between the last major TF2 update and today
good night
Since this sentence above is true, I want to crack my head open with a toilet lid and leave myself to die in a shed

I'm not saying this isn't true, but every time I see this statement it is never accompanied by a title of one of these games. I'm curious as to what game has a dev cycle of a year that isn't some simple mobile app. If it's an actual quality title I'd be interested in seeing it.
can we agree that this whole game is bullshit and takes no skill and move on?
I can agree with the fact that Casual sometimes is Luck > Skill.
But Competitive side ( The actual competitive, not Valve shit ) has really high skill ceiling.

One thing that people should realize is that absolutely all 9 classes have their own methods of playing dumb / have their own easy means of killing.
so it's balanced in a way that everything can be equally effortless
How drastic are we expecting the changes for Pyro to be from the update? Just a few balance changes or a dramatic overhaul to the point it's an entirely new class altogether?

I'll be honest, I had Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon in mind while writing this, but then realized it probably doesn't count.
I suppose Sonic Mania counts tho :v:

Development of Sonic Mania began in 2015, though.

Pretty sure dev on SM started in 2015. Still a fast turn around for a game that is getting some pretty nice praise. :)
On topic. Kinda hoping Scream fortress brings a few new maps around. Slasher for sure.

yup, every class has an easy way to play which doesn't accomplish anything, but also a very skillful way, Pyro just takes the bigger piece of complaints because he only got the former
Merasmus is pretty much out of the job now.

What makes you say that?
Merasmus is pretty much out of the job now.
Merasmus is in debt to every Mafia in the world at this rate.

Last unique Scream Fortress event being three years ago, and it feels safe to assume that won't change. But trust me, I want to be wrong.
Valve silently made a change to Steam trading recently. A trade between two users who have been friends for more than a year, but where at least one party lacks a Steam mobile authenticator used to be held for 24 hours. Now it's 25. If the two users have been friends for less than a year, it's still 15 days.
I'm unsure why Valve made this change, or if they even meant to do so.

SM, being a game that looks exactly like a game I used to play using an emulator on my 8 years old phone, and uses maps from it, isn't a great example

I mean, don't expect anything out of this SF especially, since they were working on Pyro Update.

I was joking about Pyroween, Valve. You can update any time now...

Who doesnt wish that Valve would do some new map themselves for this year. I'd even take the bread monster if i could decide. But Valve releasing a new map for halloween is likely not happening, unless they have kept really secretive on that part.
Filling up on their shoes for halloween is hard. In some people eyes, every map that gets made for halloween, that is not made by valve and gets into the game, gets automatic shit status. Even if there are 3 maps, they get shitten over by default. Even if they are brand new, never even seen by majority of playing them. Luckily, its only some people.
Anyone got a spare strange detonator around they dont use anymore? Ive recently learned to love it as much (if not more) than the scorch and i don't want to go through the trouble of trading servers for one.

Pretty much. Should be noted that ease of softwaredev generally has diminishing returns. Starting and finishing a small 2D singleplayer game is easier than updating a huge AAA multiplayer game that got hundreds of updates prior. Sometimes there's false dichotomies like what I keep hearing, "you made all these small games in 3 days each, how come this big one is taking you years". Well no, crunching over a weekend to cobble together an entry for a game jam isn't quite the same beast as making a big feature-complete game. More experienced industry professionals might have a different experience, but when I look at the multistudio collaboration of thousands it took to churn out an AC game each year I somehow doubt it.
When you add someone who is online and says "Fast trade" on their profile, but they haven't accepted ur add for 4 hours.
They should add some new paints. Also a medal/badge slot.... I wish :(
Just make medal items wearable in the action item slot like canteens.
The benefits:
-No need for a new slot and more entities to render
-Increases visibility of competitive players/events like ToTH
-Allows people to invest in more cosmetics to wear and complete loadouts.

The downsides:
-Replaces canteens/spellbooks/noisemakers that aren't used in normal gameplay
I'll take my giant cardboard check for twelve cents now valve, you're welcome. #areyoureadingthisJill

Not really a downside, since alot of people don't play MvM which makes the canteen completely useless, I do play MvM, but I never have it equipped. Almost no one uses Noisemakers besides on TF2 Birthday, Spellbook main use is on Halloween. Grappling hook is also not really that popular.

Disagree. I have a Duck Journal equipped any time I am NOT using a Spellbook/Canteen/Grappling hook. Being able to quack every 10 or so seconds is half the reason I play TF2 these days.

I have one I can grant you.

Use scrap. Tf
Since Valve released MyM, I've:
uprooted my life from Georgia to move to Colorado and share a 2 bedroom apartment with my best friend
run an entire year's lease in that apartment with said friend
apply to a new studio apartment, where I'll be living alone and completely independently, and get accepted for a november 1st move-in
I've remade pretty much my entire life and am about to change it in another big way in the time it has taken Valve to STILL NOT RELEASE ANOTHER MAJOR UPDATE
