A lot of these rebalances valve teased do address problems, but don't fix them fully, or don't push the problem weapons closer to balanced viability. The razorback is still mindlessly bad and a counter to a counter while giving up nothing meaningful outside mid-high level competitive, it even gets a buff to be even worse of an offender at this: nobody overheals the 4th gibus sniper in pubs anyway so to them it's a straight buff The crossbow still outclasses the syringe guns by lightyears, The new panic attack, vita saw, and danger shield are still useless compared to the other choices, The pocket pistol is going to have a 100% equip rate if they buff it as intended, The heavy's movement gloves are nerfed into uselessness if you have to piddle around waiting for your health to regen before fighting, ruining the point of getting there faster if you can't fight, And so on and so forth. Valve is moving in the right direction, but they're beating around the bush and going all in and smelting these bad weapon ideas down and making better ones.

Also Medics.
Also Medics.
As if they exist Besides, it decreases your max health, not just damages you.
Tyler's lost it in the stream.
I feel better after doing the stream however, really needed to just rant about it all.
It also includes the Panic attack which nobody with a brain is going to equip on heavy anyway
You joke about this, but I had a regular on my server a year ago who played Fat Scout with the Panic Attack and racked up 5+ dominations. It turned out he was cheating, using at minimum wall hacks and most likely some type of aimbot and nospread* as well. *For those of you who think Valve patched out the nospread cheat in late 2015, I have news for you. What they did was stop the WTF levels of damage with hitscan achieved by lmaobox et al. This was the "nospread maxdamage" option in lmaobox. The damage output was roughly 10x of the same hitscan weapon. Just about all TF2 cheats can still do "nospread" meaning that all pellets travel together and hit at once. Cheating heavies aren't the cross-map killers they once were, but they still do a shit ton of damage (they have perfect tracking besides having all their bullets hit.) Likewise, cheating scouts are a major problem, doing 360º meatshots at 400 hammer units.

If you go into a fight with like 200 base health and medic overheal you'll be up to 300. Depending on how fast your base health regenerates, it's even possible that the overheal will deplete at around the same rate as the base health returns to you, which would mean you're not at a disadvantage as long as you don't hold the GRU/EN for too long and a medic occasionally hits you with some overheal. As far as rollouts go it's probably a significant GRU nerf, because you might need to put them away halfway through your rollout if you want to be back to full by the time you reach the battlefield, whereas you could go as far as you wanted with GRU before, as long as you put them away 5 seconds before you reach the enemy. As far as navigating the battlefield itself though, it's probably a buff. You don't need to have them out for more than a few seconds at a time to reposition yourself, and you'll only lose maybe 50 health for it. Before you would take enormous damage because of crit falloff removal.
I feel better after doing the stream however, really needed to just rant about it all.
It's alright. I think you've summed up the community's feelings well and it was truly fun to watch. Ps take good care of that shovel, it's the one thing I've kept from my 5 years of selling my tf2 items
Last week, I tweeted to Mike Morasky regarding the VR boxing ring soundtrack that was released and whether it was the project he was alluding to. He just now responded. The project he was working on has yet to be released. https://twitter.com/MikeMorasky/status/916466556384583680
its gonna be some vr shit as usual

Mike said no, so that rules out the update.
With the pyro update pushed back this far, I can basically guarantee you that this year's halloween update will be nothing but a small amount of new cosmetics, maybe a reskinned map, and gifts exactly as they were last year. I don't think we're going to be getting any new bosses in TF2 ever again.
remember when this thread started the communal mindset was that it'd be out soonish
When the 10th was far away it seemed a reasonable release date but now that it's nearly here it seems incredibly unlikely.

Now the question is, which comes first, Halloween, or pyro update I'm gonna say the pyro update is either the 10th, smissmass, or a random day in the middle of November. Honestly I'd like a decent Halloween update, like last years, nnothing new just good ol scream fortress, and then a big ass smissmass update (also I want an advent calendar type thing)

OW is already rolling out their Halloween plans, meanwhile not a peep from the TF2 team still about anything.
i'm still fairly confident for an oct. 10th. release. all updates come out with absolutely no warning, and the same must apply to this. plus, releasing an update of this stature on the 10th anniversary makes perfect sense.
I feel better after doing the stream however, really needed to just rant about it all.
Please make a summery of your feelings video, as many of us missed the stream.
Anyone remember the Classless Update overtime spam? That was a good, clean meme.
Anyone remember the Classless Update overtime spam? That was a good, clean meme.
There are still some community servers that have that since Valve it a server config option instead of removing the glitch. I think all Valve servers should enable the overtime glitch on April Fools Day.

It'll almost be an entire year in a bit 'till the "Rate Map/Match etc." System was implemented. I really hope the TF Team will release the results for once, just seems interesting to me.
