Don't forget no moving buildings.
or upgrading the Dispenser/Teleporter
I am more curious about what the TF team will do do avoid burning at the stake.
or upgrading the Dispenser/Teleporter
And placing said buildings in literally every skybox And having no airblast
Experience the thrill of having a minigun that spun up like the brass beast, but all the time
no dead ringer, spycicle, jarate, black box, concheror, loose cannon, force a nature, crit a cola, vaccinator, airblast spam, crit flares, huntsman, mad milk, sandman, ambassador, shitty face melting paint, obnoxious unusuals, direct hit, escape plan using cowards, instacrit shield bashes, darwin's danger shield, razor back, or red tape recorder? Might be worth it.
So much for day one.
escape plan using cowards
my favorite are the ones who instinctively whip it out after i've set them on fire
Update tomorrow or not, I'm really happy for this 10 years. TF2 has given me the happiest moments, the best of narratives, the louder laughs, and most important of all, gave me the best friends I ever met in my life. You may not be updating tomorrow, but TF2 opened a whole new world for me outside the computer and I couldn't be happier about that. If someone at Valve remotely read this, thank you. Behind all the anxiety about a new update, there's a great game that gave me passion and energy to move forward.
I wasn't even in first grade when the Orange Box came out. Golly, I'm young. Well, it's still one of my favorite games.
Has anyone else had problems closing TF2? Sometimes it'll stop responding, but it won't even let me go to the task manager to get rid of the application and show nothing but the TF2 screen.
Yes. Jill if you're reading this, please do something to fix this: we can't spend money if our computers are frozen.
I am more curious about what the TF team will do do avoid burning at the stake.
Probably hide in their fancy new office building.
I entered high school when the Orange Box came out, TF2 introduced me to first person multiplayer (never was really into "military shooters") and I still haven't found a multiplayer FPS that really feels the same outside of old "Quake" style ones. I got bored of Overwatch in about a month but I still play TF2 regularly to this day. This game has changed a lot over the years, I can understand why some people stopped playing but I don't think I would want to go back to 2007 Team Fortress, The game's not perfect but it doesn't have to be. I feel proud knowing that I've taken part and contributed to such a welcoming, (mostly) respectful community that's grown from the ground up that newer games only wish they had. Now release that update damn it.
It has been a long time since I have regularly played TF2, but I still want to say my spiel about this old game. I hope a day comes where a game can entrance me like TF2 did when I started playing it in middle school. I didn't have a computer of my own, so every two weeks I would go to my cousin's house on the weekends and play it from eight in the morning to three the next morning and managed 2000+ hours of my life into this game. I have gotten a lot of ridicule from my friends for spending so much time (and money) on this game and I don't care. I had a blast with TF2 whether it be 24 hour 2Fort, or mindless slaughter on trade servers, or the best Octobers ever, or being a server regular, or even teleporting bread. I will always love TF2 because despite its infrequent and disappointing updates, it will always have something a lot of multiplayer games are severely lacking at the moment. It has heart. Whether that heart comes from the last remaining developers still willing to give a crap or the strong core community like Facepunch has here, I don't know. What I do know is as long as I still have a fondness for video games, Tf2 will always be special to me.
just pull the trigger and let me die
So. The one date we were sure the update would arrive came and went. When will this soul tiring ride end?
Yes. Jill if you're reading this, please do something to fix this: we can't spend money if our computers are frozen.
I highly recommend using SuperF4, at least temporarily until this is fixed.
Too Early for this?:
So. The one date we were sure the update would arrive came and went. When will this soul tiring ride end?
But it didn't? Everyone is banking on the 10th, it's still the 9th there.
it's been a good run (User was banned for this post ("Shit Posting" - UncleJimmema))
If you thought the anniversary was ever some smoking gun that you were sure valve would release an update on you haven't been paying attention for the alst decade
If you thought the anniversary was ever some smoking gun that you were sure valve would release an update on you haven't been paying attention for the alst decade
it's not about what dates Valve cares about, look at it this way TF2's public reputation was pretty much destroyed after MyM, the Team wants this update to be "the update of all updates" and be received positively to restore the game's reputation. tomorrow is the Orange box's 10 year anniversary, you'd want the news to be "TF2 becomes 10 years old with an active community, receives the biggest update ever" not "TF2 is now 10 years old, in a broken state, hasn't received in update in over a year and slowly dying" just like that PC Gamer writer said, it'd be stupid for Valve not to do anything at that date
Thank you for being one of my favorite games ever TF2, whether Valve celebrates the anniversary or not with the update tomorrow this game will always be in my top 10.
We've reached the beginning of the end.

And they never intended for the update to be released this late anyway, that much is obvious from the "plenty of time before Halloween". They'll release the update when it's finished, they can't magic it together once the anniversary hits if it wasn't finish already.
And I was planning to buy a cake today to celebrate...
it's either tomorrow or bust imo. i've had $90 collecting dust in my steam wallet for over 6 months now just for this update, but i'm at the point where i'm going to use it for a couple games instead. please valve, just let me give you money.

Even if the update does not come tomorrow I will say that TF2 has been and always will be one of my favorite games. Thanks TF Team.

What's an extra week to hit such a milestone compared to the year of waiting past? Not that I expect much for today, regardless of my hopes. We'll see.
I did buy some keys yesterday because I won some money and wanted to celebrate a bit, didn't unbox anything too special but I did get some items I liked.
