Are people expecting a Halloween Blog Post?
Are people expecting a Halloween Blog Post?
It usually is around first or second week of October, so :v:
Are people expecting a Halloween Blog Post?
A pre SF teaser blog this late? No. If SF come out before the big one. Yes, week of. Otherwise it will be consumed by the big update.

Today is the date we got the last pre-halloween teaser mate - perhaps they think the community already knows the drill?
"this late" ? Contributors don't need a call to arms and the general population assume it will always happen.
I think at this point scream fortress has to be bundled with the jungle update, if it wasn't they would've had a blog post explaining what was going on with halloween and saying "we're doing community shit again" like they did the last two years. The TF team is probably thinking that since tf2 gets it's highest player count around halloween for scream fortress, that they'd be able to milk even more players if it's combined with the supposed "biggest update in tf2 history", and maybe even get some people from other valve teams to help with future updates after seeing the huge surge of players.

Id imagine they wouldve announced it before.

On years when there was no advanced announcement the blog post came out a few days before the event, followed by a second post the day of. Last years Oct 11th post was a late one, not the norm. So they kinda broke the cycle last year and this year.

It is unnecessary and in some cases completely out of place. As I said WAY BACK:
I don't really mean any ill-will against the creator of this item, but this is one of those items that really shouldn't become multi-class. [sp]Unpopular Opinions, Ahoy![/sp] The weird color scheme of it kinda messes with color recognition for all of the other classes that he has made it compatible with. Its like the breakneck baggies, yeah its a nice item, but it doesn't really work nicely with other classes because color recognition is important. Also the sniper and soldier's versions look really weird. An "aviator vest"? it just doesn't look right, and honestly defeats the point of having an aviator jacket for sniper. Also soldier's version looks really bizarre with it being so small compared to his default jacket, plus the fact its being work over-top of an even larger jacket. I could understand if it was just a rehash + an additional scout version, but it just seems really out of place on the other characters either through reason or through design.
A multi-classing can be really well-made, but that doesn't necessarily mean it deserves to get in the game.

You say that but why do you say that? What "deserves" to be put into the game in your eyes?

I'm not expecting anything huge (and I otherwise want them to prioritize the main content), but I could see them observing it with a Halloween case and map at least, I guess.

Speculation: I know this may be nothing, but I just got a small TF2 update. I'm wondering if there was any medals added in or something. I assume that's what this recent update I just got is, or maybe it's a server-patch. No notes, so that's what I'm assuming it is. [t]https://i.gyazo.com/f9fe404b804da26168081f70ee42007a.png[/t]

"deserves" in this scenario is very subjective. I for one openly welcome it at the very least on scout and sniper.

That's all I picture when hats and items get updated for multiclass now, and holy fuck do I not want any more after picturing it.
"Finishing up" an update is ~3+ months. I wonder what Very Imminent means.
The Hazmat Headcase is bizarre AF on the sniper, and on him it's one of the most nonsensical cosmetics this side of the banana hat. It would make a modicum of sense on Medic, but even on him it's a stretch. The other end of the spectrum is the Federal Casemaker, which is one of the best looking all-class hats in the game. In the unusual market, it's a better looking Killer Exclusive at a fraction of the price. The Salty Dog also looks great on most classes, which is funny as before the update it was a mediocre Soldier hat. I've been hoping that with the update, the Dogfighter will get a mesh and texture overhaul, as other updated items (like the Safe n Sound) have gotten. I don't really like how it looks on soldier in that preview image, which is a shame because he's got a few nice aviation themed hats (the Whirly Warrior and Cloud Crasher for example.) I think it could work quite well on Scout. It's even vaguely themed.
that was a very bad joke on both sides but it served its purpose: no more item updates.
I wonder if there'll be any optimization in the update. I've got a pretty beefy computer that runs fine most of the time, but even that chugs in a full server when the whole team's highlighted after respawn.
Today I found out, that in Party Chat in the pre select screen, has no end limit or maximum for text and if you put so much in it will crash TF2
What if Valve never expected the Mammoth thing to become a meme and now that it has they feel that they have to add it to the upcoming update, further delaying it? PUT DOWN THE MEMES PEOPLE.
My birthday is next week, the update coming out sometime then would be a nice present.
"stop caring about things you like" ok mister I'll be a good boy and never ever say anything
It says "stop getting mad over video games". Not stop caring about them. As in don't get so worked up over it.
If you cared about something wouldn't you get worked up when you saw it being mistreated?
Yes, but I would keep it in check and try not let it get to me too badly. It doesn't mean you have to stop caring about it.
