I really hope valve doesn't completely scrap the idea of the panic attack's bullet pre-loading after it's removed, I'm actually having a lot of fun with the panic attack as engineer and the only thing keeping me from getting a strange one is the fact that it's going to get completely rebalanced imminently, if it were up to me, I would've kept the panic attack exclusive to engineer when it was first added, since it made more sense with it being engi's primary

frontier justice is a better "oh shit panic" weapon than the PA.
Yeah I'm gonna side with hell-met on that one. Plus the pre load mechanic really did go against the whole point of it as a secondary: something you whip out when your don't have time to reload your primary

it needs to be trashed and remade as something else. Can't let that sweet model go to waste.
Panic attack in its current state is not a panic weapon obviously, but it's still a good weapon for engi. It just a beggar's bazooka shotgun, high burst damage that falls flat on its face if you don't have time to preload your shots. Since engi uses his shotgun as a primary, he doesn't face the same problem other classes do with the panic attack being a really shitty weapon to switch to in a pinch. I kind of wish they took the equalizer route, and made the panic attack into the balance blog post quick-swap big spread high pellet density panic weapon, then gave engi a new gun that functions pretty much like the current panic attack does, maybe with a couple tweaks to tone down the weird health-spread and health-firing-speed mechanics. Engi could use a beggar's ba-shoot-gun.
i like the panic attack because it rewards gamesense, reads, and good aim

Never got into Panic Attack Engineer.
That would involve not using Widowmaker, which I'm just not willing to do.
The Panic Attack could benefit from keeping the bullets loaded when switching between weapons. I know they have their own idea but I'll miss the current iteration.
I just got an idea for the ambassador that would actually fix it and accomplish everything that valve and the community it want for it. The only problem is that it's really stupid.
Make the ambassador a shotgun.
That's right, a revolver that fires buckshot. It has the same spread as the bullet spread of the amby on the blog, but it fires shotgun pellets instead of single bullets one at a time. Disable random shotgun spread like the new panic attack. At range, it works just like the current ambassador. You take a shot at their head, and the low spread means all the pellets hit, it does full damage. At farther ranges, instead of giving a chance at missing, you just get less damage because fewer pellets hit. All the headshotting pellets crit, all the bodyshot pellets do normal damage. At close and mid range, you're doing full amby headshot damage, at long-range you're doing mediocre far away shotgun damage.
The only problem is that I don't think the world is ready for a shotgun disguised as a revolver, that might just be too much.

Or just make it do extra damage on headshot rather than outright crits/minicrits, so distance-based damage falloff still applies.

I haven't played TF2 since 2010ish until last night and I remember I used to go on a server where the game never ended. I loved it because I could just jump in, practice or whatever and then leave once I had enough. The map was Mario themed and didn't have any points, it felt just like a normal team deathmatch.
Is there anything like this? The map doesn't matter, I'm just looking for a never ending game that I can just jump in and play

man what's a shame is servers with their own custom map running 24/7 for people to hop in and chat
and now those servers are gone along with their unique maps
the communities on those servers are long gone

If you are asking seriously, is the new major content update for Dota 2. Was announced at the International and will include two new original heroes for the game. It was announced is coming out this month (Valve Time™).
I truly believe we will see the TF2 update first. That thing sounds almost ready and Valve can fuck up a few things when they release it. Knowing Dota, I bet they are gonna take some extra time to polish that beast.

He's just easy to play. You can get anywhere you want once you've learned the basics of rocket jumping (in other words, by the time you can beat the "wall" course in jump_academy), and the splash of his rockets means you just need decent prediction to murder most of the other classes. Once you get good, nobody can really do anything to you (except a Spy/Sniper that you weren't aware of).
I think his max health should be reduced to 175 (150?) and his rocket self-damage modified so that the same number of rocket jumps can be performed. That alone, I think, would make him a balanced class. They say they balance Heavy's high health through movement speed. Soldier has 300 when overhealed and is pretty much the fastest class in the game. Reducing that overheal to 260 (225?) would make him a whole lot easier to deal with in 6s. Might even bring some more offclassing to the table.
Then we'd need to balance Scout...
