I think it is happening this week.

For me, i'm hoping for it to come after halloween. If it does come in halloween, would be pretty hilarious since the pyro is already scary enough. :disgust:

I don't care when it comes, just that it comes and it'll be as good as it can be.

To be fair, even if it were released yesterday, "plenty of time before Halloween" would be still dubious. Two weeks isn't much time at all. I suspect that the update was expected to be finished a decent while ago. If Morasky's comment was about something in the short, that would further support this idea. Whatever he was talking about clearlyis going to be released considerably later than he was expecting.

Hopefully whatever they're doing makes it easier for them to put out updates more quickly in the future.

Remember when the TF Team was so second-hand embarrassed/amused by their Meet the Spy video leak that they gave themselves a faux-achievement for it? And now that's how we're finding out about new cosmetic taunts. Oh how time makes fools of us all.

Those private videos are just placeholders left over from previous updates.

That's not how private videos work. If you have proof that there were former videos in the playlist that are now private, sure, but as far as we know these private videos are new, whoever is managing TF2's youtube account has no reason to private videos that they can just remove, and videos are usually only private if they were pre-emptively uploaded.

Also if you go to the playlist it says that the playlist was updated yesterday.
